    Hi

Hope you are all doing well, I got the boots bands and they are fab, i seem to find I get more nausea when I am tired, which I am today, I walked 10 miles yesterday as a work colleague is doing a chartiy walk and walking from Arbroath to Poole over the next month and some people from work joined him at various stages, felt okay afterwards but discovered I had got a sunburt face and a slight suburnt neck, we then had to go and see his dad and then went for a quiz night in which our team won. OH will have to drink the wine;) sure he willl not find it a hardship! A filling has just fallen out from my front tooth so a bit annoyed about that, but at least I will not have to pay for treatment;)

Rups - wouldn't worry about food, I woke up on Friday early (oh had to leave at 7) wanting fresh fruit from Asda (the prepacked ones) so went to Asda for 7am bought sweeties to:D and have been munching on that think my diet is out the window, remind your husband you are a pregant lady and he has to pander to your whims!!!;)

The ball things dig into the points though, dont they? i went to sleep with mine on but they werent so comfy. still wearing them. i must say i do feel much better nausea wise....i am getting so impatient now with not getting a letter to see the MW. when does everyone get theirs by?

I got a phone call from MW for the first appointment and was barely 7 weeks when I saw her, I would check with your doctors surgery, my book says the booking appointment is between 8 and 12 weeks

    Thanks anmarj. :)

at least you felt like fruit and not junk like me. lol

i tried but he is being stubborn and saying I MUST try and add some veggies somewhere. grrr. he is annoying me today. i have been trying to avoid him as he is in a foul mood after the football so we are sitting in silence. he did ask me earlier to help him in the garden, and i just didnt want to, so he got annoyed with me and i started getting upset. :( i just dont want to do anything. no washing up, no cleaning and i think its getting to him as he has to do it all. oops. im trying to stay calm, will let him just moan and i will just relax.bad that he is forcing me to eat stuff i dont want to. :-( humph

thats a huge walk you did. wow. i am totally useless nowadays. am waiting for the tiredness to pass and then i can start swimming. i am 8 weeks now and i will call the GP tomorrow as i thought by now i should have got a letter or something. so slow.

about to watch planet earth live..:)

Rups - Just eat what you can hun. Even maybe have some frozen veggies in the freezer just incase you fancy them. They keep longer than fresh veg and the nutritional value is actually pretty much the same.

My husband is very good and he was there when my midwife said that eating anything is better than nothing. He's not one to pressurise me to eat anyway as he knows how hard it is for me.

Hate to tell you that you may have to pay. True you do get an exemption certificate, however, as grey fillings contain mercury, they mostly wont use whilst pregnant or BF so you have to pay to have a white one which they can use whilst preg or BF. mine was £80:eek: bit of a con really. If you see what you actually get free it actually works out at check ups or fillings post baby born if your are not BF.

Sorry to be the bearer of bad news, but may save the shock when you go :D

I really wish there was a pill that you could give people so they can experience what morning sickness is truly like, its nowhere near 'nausea' and obviously all the other hormones added to the mix makes things interesting,

Im now on my fourth pregnancy, still getting morning sickness at times at nearly 23 weeks, and some days my energy levels are so low I dont have the energy to do simple tasks like getting up and down the stairs !

My OH has at times been a total !!!! about it, he seems to think its just me being lazy but thankfully thats only once in a blue moon when he is having a strop ;)

I personally go with what my body is telling me, if i need carbs and savoury then thats what i go with - its MY job and mine alone, my husband can second guess all he likes but I have to trust myself and what Im feeling.

Forcing fruit + veg onto an already unsettled stomach wont help anybody !

Thanks for everything ladies. i think i might take him to the midwife with me. that is allowed isnt it? i didnt last time and all i ended up doing was forms etc but maybe a good idea if i can mention my sickness and she cant tell him. i know the poor sod means well, but he has his feisty moments. he is in a right sulk today. thanks FOOTBAL!. :rotfl:

that sucks about the dentist. i tought i could also go and get my teeth rechecked and refilled. my dentist is rubbish though and one tooth has been refilled twice now and when i said it wasnt done properly before, she got offended. lol

i had some winter vegetable soup and it was ok actually. it was one of those Heinz ones, and it was bearable. despite the bands, i still feel eeky but not as bad, and i agree. i wish we could give our OH's a pill to experience the nausea as for sure, they dont get it! mishka i thought nausea/sickness vanished after a few weeks? eek!! i hope i dont get mine for thr 9 months, as its been here for around a month now.

we are both still sitting in silence. sigh. hope he cheers up tomorrow. :T

Mine was pretty bad today, thats not normal for me though and I think it really 'stopped' about 14 weeks ? ish ? I dont remember waking up one day without it as it really wasnt a sudden thing just eased away.

I think it increases and returns during baby growth spurts and alike, as more hormones get produced they can rush your system so to speak.

No, if its a front tooth, the filling would automatically be a white one and you wouldnt have to pay for it, it would be covered by your exemption.

I so understand what you are saying about being so tired. I am still exhausted and unable to do much in the evenings, I have never experienced tiredness as badly as in the past 13 weeks. OH is back on Friday after 11 weeks being away, he will be shocked to see the state of me:).

On a good news OH is coming back:T:T. I can't even describe how happy I am though he is still very sick but under the right medication so no point for him staying there anymore.
