welcome misskeith and CL.
MissKeith i am nearly 8 weeks and my nausea (thank god no vomiting) started as soon as i found out (around 4.5 weeks). i feel sick everyday and off most foods.I am such a foodie that i miss stuff. all i can eat is carbs like potatoes, bread and chips. I am constantly eating soft mints too and am off water. i am always tired and could sleep and sleep. Recently going into work on the bus, train and tube has really been tiring me out. sigh.. for the past two days i have been heaving a bit. i guess its a good sign for us then hey? i welcome all this, as long as i have a cute bubba to hold at the end of the 9 months.

Hi MissKeith! Sounds normal to me - I haven't had any aching, but the nausea and tiredness, as well as the not eating half of what you normally would all sound fine. I'm almost 12 weeks now and starting to eat a lot more.
For the nausea I found if I eat something while still practically horizontal in bed and then let it settle before getting up it helps - it's now taking me quite a while to get up after having woken up; luckily I have a wonderful husband who's bringing me toast with peanut butter in bed!
Eating is the only thing that staves off the nausea during the day; although if I am going to throw up it seems it's likely to be first thing in the morning (the rest of the time I just feel queasy).0 -
Hi everyone,
I am 5 weeks (I think). I did feel queasy since 4 week, but the last two days I am not really queasy at all. Have felt really bloated, and unusually tired (finding it hard to focus, weird dreams too, but on the upside, nice heavy sleep). I did feel unusually emotional as well as tired around at week 3-4 (before I knew).
The nausea seemed to get better when I started going for an hr walk every day, and managed to avoid getting too hungry (i.e. ate cold meat in the evening, rather than something that digests quickly).
But for all I know, it may have nothing to do with it, according to some of the info I've read it may kick in at week 6... In a way I won't mind if it does, since it is comforting to have it, so I feel I am still pregnant.0 -
i just had some toast with butter. was supposed to have dinner out with DH but he is not feeling too well so i want a Chinese takeaway. have managed to sip water all day which is good but cant shift my headache. day 3 of it.
i think not commuting to work helped too as feel tired but not the way i have been for the past 2 days.

Rups your post about your headaches reminded me that I had about a week of headaches in my early pregnancy. Midwife didn't seem concerned, and said if you were prone to headaches pre-pregnancy that they can occur more frequently in pregnancy. Make sure you keep well hydrated with water (I was drinking pints at a time, particularly during the night when I could even go through 2), and it's perfectly ok to take 2 paracetamol as according to the packet when you need them. Hugs though - I remember how awful it was, and thinking I wonder if it'll ever go away.Enjoy the little things, for one day you may look back and realize they were the big things.I married Moon 8/4/2011, baby boy born 26/9/2012, Angel Baby Poppy born 8/11/15, Rainbow baby boy born 11/2/20170

thanks sexymouse. i did wonder yesterday, as 3 days in a row i have had headaches and i am taking paracetamol as they are bad. they go away when i go to sleep but are back during the day. iam hoping today it stays away. i used to have migraines and did have headaches anyway so it makes sense. the thing is about staying hydrated. i cant drink water anymore. yuck. am trying but it tastes foul.
hope everyone else is doing ok today. was thinking of popping into town in a bit to Boots and get one of those bracelets that might help with the nausea? has anyone used those? i heard they are ok. DH says he has his reservations. i dont know but i can try right, as i feel queasy 24/7 to the point i feel i am ill. lol. prob need fresh air anyway. got football to watch tonight. eek!!!Became Mrs H on the 1st of October 2011!!

I wear sea-bands constantly and they do help take the edge off of it. You just need to make sure you wear both and put them on exactly as the instructions.
They do hurt a bit at first but I've been wearing mine since about week 6 and they don't hurt anymore.

they hurt at first? really? the nausea is horrid. DH was telling me off yesterday saying that i am not eating good food with nutrients. i agree but i told him i feel sick and he says i have to try and eat as i cant eat the way i am for 9 months with potatoes, chips etc.i agree but i dont fancy anything at all. no cravings as such still.
week 8 today.i hope all is going ok inside me.

They do, but only because they're a bit tight at first and the little inside ball goes onto a pressure point.
It can feel a bit uncomfortable but it does go away after the first week or so and I've found them really helpful.:)2019 Wins
