Don't worry too much about eating foods that are nutrient rich if you're still feeling sick Rups. Obviously it's better to do this if you can find some foods that you can tolerate, but when I spoke to my doctor about it when I was going through my morning sickness, she said that as long as I'm eating something, I should be ok - she had a friend who lived off dried apricots for the first few months and everything was fine. Try to find foods or snacks that you can tolerate that contain a lot of nutrients but don't fill you up too much. If you can't face food, can you face smoothies and soups for example? There were so many foods that I went off in those months, particularly as I was tending to be sick in the evening after dinner, so I associated those foods with being sick. I found that I ate a lot of very small jacket potatoes with baked beans etc as I could stomach these and they didn't fill me up too much. Good luck with your driving lesson.
Enjoy the little things, for one day you may look back and realize they were the big things.

Hi there ladies :) hope you don't mind me joining in! Been lurking since I found out I was pregnant with my 3rd (OH's 1st) nearly 4 weeks ago. I have 2 boys, age 14 and 11, and thought they would be my only two, but Mother Nature obviously had other ideas lol!

I've just bought some sea bands from Aldi for £2.50, which are way cheaper than the Boots ones, which I think are £7.99 for exactly the same thing. They are hurting me at the moment, but it's only my second day wearing them. Seem to be working though.

    Hi Kitten Pie :)

Yes we told the boys last weekend - neither of them reacted the way I thought...the eldest was pleased, but his younger brother was shocked at first (he's OK now though, after a long talk and plenty of reassurance) I thought it would be the other way round lol.

I get lots of questions all the time now though :D

hello all.. welcome aventurine. congrats on your lovely news.:)

thanks for your advise sexymouse. i tried telling DH that but he seems to think that me eating rubbish wont be good for little one and i told him the thought of eating something i dont fancy wont do me any good. i keep wanting oven chips and this morning, i made us a bacon and egg roll which ienjoyed.

yesterday, i went to boots (damn i didnt realise aldi did such cheap one but we dont have one near us i dont think), and got those bands. they are the travel ones that say on them that are good for ms too so i wore then and they seem to be working. at first they didnt hurt but towards the evening, they did and even today they are. i still feel slightly eeky but its not as worse as what i have had. so i am glad the work. DH keeps questioning if they are safe and i think they are as they work on the pressure points dont they?

yesterdays driving lesson went well thanks but towards the end of it, i started feeling faint and weak. weird that was. also driving is quite stressful esp in traffic or watching out etc. i must try and relax and enjoy it otherwise end up being a mess and sweating loads. lol. today we are just chilling. DH is in his shed as he is very upset about the football and i am happy as my team won yesterday but they kicked his out of the champions league spot. oops. so am leaving him to it. men hey? :rotfl:

Rups - Sea-Bands (including own brand ones) are safe for use during pregnancy because they don't contain any drugs or medicines. The pressure point which controls nausea is in the wrist so they work by applying pressure to it to relieve the nausea. They're perfectly fine for use during pregnancy. :)

They do, but it's not dangerous. Just uncomfortable.
