Yay that the scan was good Rups - try not to worry now - once the heartbeat has been seen, the chances of miscarriage go down by quite a bit. Did they date you at this scan?

does it really? i really hope so.. really really hope so.. i know it sounds so desperate but i do hope all goes well now.:0) they dated me today at 6+3. i knew i was 6 weeks and the nurse sent me home last friday saying i was just about 5! i am happy but trying to be the same half hapy half calm, and also trying to control myself. :0) DH is so calm at the mo. i saw him smiling.

I believe statistically there is only a 10% risk once the heartbeat has been seen.

Thanks kittenpie. i really hope all goes well. sigh.. im trying to get on with work, but its hard. lol.. think DH is still waiting till the 12 weeks so he can breathe easy too.:)

Well it was bad news for us at the scan

Missed miscarriage at approx 6 weeks they think and a molar pregnancy to boot. Got to go to the bigger hospital in an hour to have more tests and presumably be induced.

Feeling devstated obviously.

Hoping Cleofish may be around for some guidance on the molar pregnancy?? Google is not helping at the mo, just frightening me.

Oh abis, I'm so sorry

Hopefully the bigger hospital will give you some answers. Have they said that you have to be induced? I only ask because I have had a natural miscarriage and an ERPC under general anaesthetic, and I found the ERPC drew a line under the whole thing a lot better than waiting for the natural one to finish, I only bled for a little afterwards and it wasn't painful at all.

Booking in appointment this morning! Lots of paperwork, blood tests and a urine sample; not too much else though - but I have a scan date finally in 2 weeks! :j

abis i am so sorry for your news. hugs. please try and be strong. i know it's not easy. we are here for you. you and OH be strong please? The internets quite scary so if you can just try and stay away from there. xx thinking of you x
