Thanks for all the well wishes ladies - its most appreciated.
Thanks to Sara-ra-ra as well. Managed to read your post before going to the bigger hospital and it made it much clearer for me about what would happen and why they were talking about doing another scan next week etc.
Thanks to Cleofish for the PM with all the info on.
And thanks for the other PMs and thoughts from you lovely ladies.
Been to 'big' hospital. Everyone was so so so lovely. Got put in a quiet room waiting area so that we didn't have to be waiting with all the other pregnant ladies wanted to cry. Had to be scanned externally and internally again. Again, no heartbeat and baby measuring between 6-7 weeks, but it was hard for them to get a proper image as it was so small. Am defo sure of my dates - I should be 10+3, altho they thought 12+4 cos of my LMP.
At 'big' hospital, they weren't sure about molar. They said that it was a matter of interpretation and different people scanning think different things. They took blood levels to check HCG levels to see if they were abnormally high, but the results weren't processed while we were there, so didn't get any more answers from that.
Went through the options of how to procede from here and have decided to go with the EPRC as this is the quickest option, and will hopefully give a definative answer about molar pregnancy. Booked in tomorrow morning early for that procedure. They will send the placenta off to histology (sp?) for testing once it is removed.
The staff have all been amazing. Very thorough with all the explanations and very understanding and all dealt with very sensitively. DH has been amazing too. Have told DD that they baby was very poorly and that you can't give medicine to a baby when it is inside the tummy so unfortunately the baby has died. She is ok with it all. Thought she would be more upset, but I don't suppose she understands it all properly. Shes only 6. Shes gone back to her daddys a bit early as we have to be at hospital so early tomorrow and I think I need some time to just cry without worrying about her being upset.
Sad day, and no doubt tomorrow will be a sad day too.
Hoping to be back on here soon tho with a healthy sticky forever baby. Wish you all lots and lots of luck and will be lurking on all of you to see how you are getting on (even if that does make me sound like a scary stalker)

I've been reading up on alcohol in pregnancy. I don't usually drink alcohol but occasionally fancy an alcopop every so often (like once a month!).
My midwife said that you can have one or two units of alcohol a week during pregnancy so would it be okay if I have a Bacardi Breezer every so often? Not excessively of course. I'm not really a drinker at all, so just once a month or once every two months?
I keep reading conflicting advice. Some sites say no to any alcohol and some say it's okay in small amounts and then my midwife said a couple of units is okay.
A small bottle of Bacardi Breezer is about 1.4 units.2019 Wins

I'm so sorry Abis, I read your news during the day but couldn't write anything. I hope you are ok, and You will get your forever baby!
All is good here, just sorting out travel insurances, it's so complicated when you are pregnant as most companies don't want to cover you!0 -
Hi LadyMorticia,
The advice on alcohol seems to change almost daily, my view is that if there is any chance that it is risk to leave it.Overdraft = £1000 Emergency fund = £2500

I always advised against alcohol because they just dont know enough about Fetal Alcohol Syndrome. The impact of alcohol on women and babies seems to vary considerably.I must not fear. Fear is the mind-killer.
Fear is the little-death that brings total obliteration.
I will face my fear. I will permit it to pass over and through me. When it has gone past I will turn the inner eye to see its path.
When the fear has gone there will be nothing. Only I will remain.0 -
abi (((hugs))) so sorry for your news today. I hope you continue to get good care at the hospital & take care of yourself.
AFM I am under the care of 2 hospitals -1 local & Chelsea & Westminster- as I have a heart condition & they have the best professor apparently- but tbh it's a nightmare to get there so OH is not best pleased with the difficulty & asks "what happens if there's an emergency? It'll take ages to get there!?"
Being under the care of 2 hospitals also means I am having everything done twice e.g. yesterday at C&WM I had my booking appt (which I'd already had 2 weeks ago at local hospital). MW dated me at 9+6 but I thought I was 10+6 so I was a bit disappointed. Went through all the forms & did urine sample again, decided that as I'd had bloods done & another blood test last week for potential slapped cheek I could leave the blood tests & just take my results next time I go back.
I have anther appt at local hospital tomorrow & back to C&WM next weds for my dating scan. Just wondering- is anyone else under the care of more than 1 hospital? Is every appt duplicated?
Also still awaiting my results for slapped cheek- fingers crossed the Dr will have them for me tomorrow!Married my wonderful husband February 2013!:happyhearI want to wear my beautiful wedding dress everyday- it would make shopping so much more fun, I mean, people go shopping in their pyjamas these days.......Must STOP spending!!!Proud to be dealing with my debts!0 -

I personally have had a glass of wine when ive fancied, for the first few weeks I couldnt stand the thought of anything like that but then started to really crave it from about 9-10 weeks - like mouth watering couldnt stop thinking about it craving it !
There is such conflicting advice as 'they' just dont know, they cannot test something like this on moral grounds more than anything (can you imagine firstly asking anyone to consume XX amount of alcohol & then drawing blood from the baby whilst still in the womb !?!) they can only use the extreme effects alcohol abuse has on baby once they are born and presume back from that. Im not an expert but I know the effects of alcohol on myself and take into account that baby has a reduced version of that.
I believe in everything in moderation, I try and eat a healthy diet as thats what benefits both me and my baby - once in a while though I stuff my face with junkI wont beat myself up about it.

Thanks for your comments guys.
I rarely ever drink. Being dosed up to the eyeballs on meds meant that I wasn't allowed alcohol and I don't really like alcohol that much anyway, but I do like Alcopops. Obviously I don't want to hurt my baby but when I do drink, I only drink one alcopop every month or two (mostly every two though.) I haven't drank in a while because of the Tramadol and the Quetiapine but it would be nice to be able to have one Alcopop before I go back on the Tramadol!2019 Wins
