Sorry to hear your sad news Abi hopefully you will get more answers at the big hospital, whilst I have previous experience of mmc i have none of molar pregnancies so not sure I would be able to offer any advice. xx

Thanks ikkle. i am enjoying it with potatoes and i just wondered.

abis like ikkle, i have had one experience and i had the EPRC, which i thought was the best choice as i thought i was 10 weeks and then at the scan, the baby showed 5 weeks, and as m body was still in 'denial' i didnt want to wait, so went for the surgery. i hope you find the right choice and the hospital can help further. x

morning all.. i am back from the hospital..

welcome wigan and hope you have fun with us here. :)

thank you so so much for your lovely wishes. i was worried as usual and i m glad they didnt send me away. they all looked serious when they were discussing stuff and i got worried as usual and DH was getting annoyed with me lol.. we turned up there at 830 and the clinic opens at 9. lol. then we sat for an hour and i got scanned. i was asked if having a male sonographer was ok and i didnt care at that point, as was not going back home to come back.. ok ok. anyway. we saw the little bubba (a little blob) and we saw a heartbeat. :j as soon as he said that i started crying. :) i hope all stays well now. i am trying to be as calm as i can, its so hard!!! i am relieved but i am hoping i reach the 12 week mark quickly now.. eek!!! help me relax please? they tried to check out my ovaries. my left was fine but they couldnt see the right. weird! i was worried with that pain as well. touch wood and thank god all is ok. got to keep calm. xxxx

Glad everything went okay, hun. :)

Well it was bad news for us at the scan :(

Missed miscarriage at approx 6 weeks they think and a molar pregnancy to boot. Got to go to the bigger hospital in an hour to have more tests and presumably be induced.

    Feeling devstated obviously.

Hoping Cleofish may be around for some guidance on the molar pregnancy?? Google is not helping at the mo, just frightening me.

Oh sweetie. :( I am so sorry. :(

I believe statistically there is only a 10% risk once the heartbeat has been seen.

Ooh, lower than that I think, Kitten. I was told that if you can detect a heartbeat at a 7 wk scan, the risk of miscarriage reduces to 1 - 2% if you're under 35.

I thought that was after 12 weeks, although don't quote me. 1%-2% risk sounds better so go with that. :D

Abis21- so sorry to hear of what has happened at the scan today.

I have only just logged in today, i will send you a pm now, but just wanted quickly to say in regards to the molar first of all they will carry out a d and c or i think its called a erpc nowadays.
It is usually as soon as to make sure everything is removed, this is then sent for testing to find out what type of molar it is.

will send you a pm now.

Abis21 - sorry about your news, (((hugs))):(

Had my booking appointment today, although I nearly missed it! I am at a satilite surgery and when the midwife had said I have booked a room after speaking to your doctors, I assumed it was there, turns out it was at the main surgery, so had to run up the road back to work to pick up my car and hoot foot it down there! Got blood taken, nearly forgot the urine test, only remembered when I went to the door to leave:o, spoke to hubby who is away working but he has not told anybody at his work, so trying to have a conversation with him in front of his colleagues was fun!!:D, may have to see the consultant before the scan due to possible inherited condition
