    Thanks missmonkeymoo..
that def helped. i just chucked a chewing gum into the mouth as i was reading your post. lol... i feel like that. i try and have weak squash. everything is yuck. the pasta as lunch time helped with some baked crisps. think i can eat crisps and chips for England, but like you said, it's better having slightly healthier carbs. i am liking that tiger bread fresh from the bakery. yum. i did feel a slight heartburn this morning, but it passed. can you take anything for it? I normally also have skimmed milk which i hate now and am liking the taste of semi skimmed milk.

thanks so much for your advise though. i will get some mints for later. poor DH sent me a recipe for fish later, and it looked ok but i have a feeling that when i smell it or look at it, i will be like ewww. i pull a lot of faces at food now as going off a lot. sigh. i miss my normal food. hehe

Gaviscon's fine in pregnancy (for your heartburn). If it becomes really bad you can talk to your GP about getting something stronger on prescription but see how you go with the Gaviscon.

I couldn't eat anything much for the first trimester apart from chips and lots and lots of lovely coca-cola. All that stuff about eating healthily is just advice, you know. No one actually manages it. :D

Aaahhh, Rups, I promise it will get better! I missed my usual food too, but I think you just have to go with whatever your body is telling you! I think I needed carbs at the time, so I tried not to worry too much about it. There were times though that I thought I would never eat normally again!

I know what you mean about Tiger bread - I have eaten masses of that over the last couple of months! I love it as a baguette - had one for lunch today, bug yums! I also found that cottage cheese and crisp sandwiches kept me going when I didn't fancy anything else! One other thing that helped for me is a Swiss Vegetable Bouillon Powder (made by marigold). My Mum got it for me from a health food shop to drink instead of tea/water cos I couldn't bear anything. It's a nice savoury taste and I did find that I could manage a couple of cups a day so that might be worth a shot too. Just don't do what my OH did - I asked him to make me this drink one day and he used the wrong canister and made me up a cup of gravy!

As for heartburn, Gaviscon or the like ( I used Boots own) is pretty good. Again, depends on what works for you but I found the liquid to be better than the chewable tabs that you can get. They are ok to use in pregnancy but I would always check the label just to be 100% sure!

My midwife said that I was allowed to take my Tramadol during pregnancy. I thought Tramadol was a no-no because of how strong it is? :S
