Hi ladies.. hope i can join again please?
Having had a mc three months ago, i am quite pleased (and scared too) to find my positive yesterday... am a bit nervous and scared as hell as last time didnt go so well... this time i am having more period type pains. is that normal? I think i am around 4 weeks. went to a gp but as always they are uselss, so seeing a gynae at the same doctirs surgery who will refer me etc etc.. i also had a little bleed when my period was due, and that freaked me out. I was told yest that that is common.. i dont know and will never know what is normal or not? am trying not to freak out and try and be calm but i would be lying if i said i wasnt scared.. sorry long post. xxx
Just another one to say :j to seeing you back on here lovely Rups. I hope this pregnancy is uneventful for you and your OH. Def slow down the kung fu but some exercise has helped me relax. I haven't had bleeds but always got more period type and stretchy pains when my period was due for the first 2/3 months. Like emsbet, I tried not to count exact dates until 12 weeks as it made it worse to count everything exactly.
Good luck to all, I love reading about scans. Abis21, ice lollies always helped me and even at Christmas time!xx

hi everyone
thanks emsbet about the retroverted uterus, dont fancy the popping forward of the uterus though.:p hows everything going with you, does it feel more real now that your further along and you have found out the team your in?
littlemoog- hoping you manage to get some answers from your doctors i think i have read as well that the baby will take what it needs first before mum, so hopefully you will have enough.
moneypenny- you made me giggle with the avocado, dont think i would be able to face one at the moment though. I have an image of your kitchen cupboard full of avocados.
abis21- hopefully you are feeling a bit better, def get checked out especially if you are finding it hard to keep fluids down, hoping you feel better soon.
rups32- hi rups think i have spoke to you on the other board, congrats on your pregnancy, twings are normal as everyone has said and if you have not had any more blood everything should be fine, but keep an eye out for yourself you can always check with your gp to be safe. EPU normally dont scan until after 6 weeks, but they do blood tests to check hcg levels before this.
afm, didnt sleep very well last night had bad dreams (sorry for the tmi part) of sitting on the toilet looking down and i was bleeding and there were lots of clots and looking through all the blood worrying where the baby was, i found a set of small sized kidneys and tosed those aside and then i found a heart but it was big like a adult heart and i picked it out and held it in my hands, weird or what? dont think i realised how worked up i must have been before the scan yesterday
going to be an early night tonight just to catch up on some sleep.
hoping everyone has a good evening :T0 -
Hello lovelies.
GP appointment went okay and have been put in the midwife's book so then she phones me to arrange a booking-in appointment.
I made my husband come in with me! lol. I was like "This is a partnership baby!". He said "When are babies ever not a partnership?" Haha.
Finished my Assignment. Don't care what mark I get as long as I improve and pass. I passed my first assignment but didn't get the mark I had liked so hoping this one is better!2019 Wins

Cleo, the popping thing isn't as bad as it sounds, everyone's uterus pops forward in pregnancy just ours have further to go
We had the anomaly scan yesterday but little scamp wasn't playing ball so we have to go back in a few weeks so they can check the heart and face. The sonographer thinks we are team blue but has told us to get them to check next time as he couldn't see very clearly. So we will have to wait for a while to by some blue things. It does feel more real especially as I can feel little one wiggling around now. Still get my nervous moments and worry a fair bit a times but I am learning to be more relaxed and to try enjoy my pregnancy

Avocados was the only thing I could eat when pregnant with my daughter and I'm quite partial to them this time too. Especially cut into cubes and dipped in Marie Rose sauce:j little fire cracker born 5th November 2012 :j0 -
Is anyone else finding that instead of bad nausea, they're getting a sort of upset stomach and feeling like you need to poop alot? TMI I know but I don't know if it's normal!2019 Wins

Thanks for the ice lolly tip ladies  Ice pops are going down soooooooooo much better than water and I have even managed half a pint of water as well this afternoon AND not been sick since 12.30ish. Haven't managed any tea yet - but did have the other half of my sandwich mid-afternoon.
Much much MUCH better, and now I'm not as worried about dehydrating.
Thanks for the sympathy Fluffnutter. It sucks to be sick so much. I'm a bit phobic about being sick as well so don't think that helps at all. I didn't have any actual sickness with DD, just some nausea so its all come as a bit of a shock to the system after a really easy pregnancy last time round. Looking forward to being able to 'glow' and feel fantastic
Ikkle - I have a bit of an addiction to ribena usually, but haven't liked it at all so far during pregnancy. Think I am finding it too sweet? Very odd for me as I used to get through farrrrrr too much of it!
Aww cleofish what a horrible dream. Hope your OH was there to give you a cuddle afterwards. When I was pregnant with DD I dreamt that I gave birth to a fish :rotfl: And that I wasn't very good at taking care of it, and I kept thinking I *knew* I should have read more books. I put it in a goldfish bowl, and it started bleeding and I gave it mouth to mouth. The fish did not survive the experience!! I was quite disturbed for some time after that dream tho :rotfl::rotfl: It wasn't even a big fish like a koi - just a teeny tiny ugly goldfish!!
LadyM - yayy for the appt going well and fingers crossed for your for your assignment. When will you get the results?
Needhelpsaving - As I understand it thats fine. If its brown, then its old blood. If its a small amount, it should be fine too. Things to look out for are fresh red blood, lots of blood, and/or severe cramps (the type that can double you over). Obviously, it would be much nicer to not see any blood whilst pregnant tho as it is a little worrying. If you are overly worried, then contact your midwife or an EPU and they may do an early scan to check everything is ok.Married my lobster in July 2011

My first appointment is booked! Although it took the doctor over a week to send my referral . So I get to see the antenatal clinic at just over 10 weeks for my first appointment. Aside from the GP, who basically just said that I needed to be referred and asked which hospital to refer me to.0 -
I got my booking in appointment through yesterday, I will be seeing the midwife at 12wk 5 days, my scan is 2 days beforehand.
I'm just worried that if my booking in appointment is only in 2 weeks time, and they only book me for the scan then, it might be later than 12 weeks... we don't want to tell anyone until the scan so the wait is getting a bit much!
