I was given Stemetil (prochlorperazine). It didn't work for me, but others have found it helpful and it's obviously safe to take during pregnancy so might be worth a try?"Growth for growth's sake is the ideology of the cancer cell" - Edward Abbey.0 -
Just popping in to say - glad to see you back here Rups.
Yes you will be nervous. I was with this one as I had had early mcs before.
I had a little bleed around the time of my period in the first trimester at around 7 weeks and 11 weeks so don't panic. They are called breakthrough bleeds.
Anyway so happy you are back - wishing you all the luck in the world.0 -
thank you so much mrs excited. i am nervous but am sure its all nervous energy and my head is full of questions as want to get it right this time.. i am going with the flow and now thinking whatever's meant to happen will happen tright? got to keep trying. :0) The memories are still there from before as i am sure you know, but intend to use positive energy and apply it here.Became Mrs H on the 1st of October 2011!!

Nice to see you back on the thread Rups !
I felt a little like I had a cloud of doom following me around at the start of this pregnancy and i was just waiting for something bad to happen (and sometimes even wishing that it would just to get it over and done with) I think that probably ruined the first trimester for me but not much you can do about it when you are grieving !
anyway, take care and congratulationsBow Ties ARE cool "Just because you are offended, doesnt mean you are right" Ricky Gervais0 -

oh ok.. we are in addiscombe rather than actual croydon. i was in two minds about mayday and some people say its ok and some not.. saying that the princee university hosp in farnborough is not far and seems better.. i just hated the waiting around for tests, scans etc.. i know avoiding it wont help but the experience from last time, has just made me not to want to go any EPU clinic. silly i know.
Hi (again) Rups!
In the course of my last three pregnancies, I have been to:
Mayday
Kings
Princess Royal
Queen Mary's
Beckenham Beacon
St Tommy's
Orpington Hospital
And I can honestly say that there really isn't a great deal of difference between them. As you're in Addiscombe (not far from me!) I'd suggest going to the EPU at Mayday (Croydon University Hosptial) as it's a walk in service, you just wait to be seen. If you're less than 6 weeks they'll do progressive blood tests, if you're more than 6 weeks they'll do an internal scan. Although it doesn't have a great reputation it has been nothing but good for me, and in this pregnancy I'm under recurrent miscarriage care with them and high-risk care under PRUH, and I'm planning on changing my antenatal care from PRUH to Mayday as I'm actually happier with them (and I've heard !!!!!!-all from PRUH so far...)
Good luck, and try not to worry too much. You still have a much greater chance of having a successful pregnancy than you do a miscarriage. Remember that.0 -
