I am getting worried about the fluids thing now. Am finding it harder and harder to make myself eat and drink when I know its coming back up.
Maybe I should ring the midwife or GP tomorrow if its still no better.
My DD has gone to her dads for the weekend now, and I normally miss her loads, but I'm actually quite relieved not to have to do the school run and entertain her before DH gets home.I will still miss her, but just feel like I need to get better now.
If you can't manage any food, do try to keep sipping water - maybe aim for half a pint an hour which is a reasonably small amount. At least some of it should get into your system if you're not being sick constantly. If that works, maybe try milk, milkshake or smoothie to get some calories in?
If you're not weeing much, and it's dark in colour, I'd be inclined to ring midwife or GP this afternoon to say you're concerned and get some advice.Little monkey born November 2012:jFroglet due March 20160 -
i just checked and i am 4+1 today. i know its ages to 12 weeks, but it was a bleed that made me go for an emergency scan to the hospital and thats when they found that the baby wasnt growing last time. so am a bit anxious as to whether i should go for those vaginal scans again to be re-assured.
I think the earliest they can see anything conclusive on a scan is about 6 weeks I'm afraid. You could ring the EPU for advice though, they might have a duty midwife you could speak to for reassurance?Little monkey born November 2012:jFroglet due March 20160 -
I managed less than a pint in total yesterday and looks like today will be the same again.
I've not weed since this morning and it is dark. I'm not normally a huge drinker tho - but I have been trying to more with being pregnant, but its really just not going down well.

I obviously am a big drinker (of squash/water!) - before I was pg I could easily drink 2 litres plus a day, and now it's more like 3! I've found my sickness is worse when I'm dehydrated, my throat feels all gummy. I'm also waking up in the night incredibly thirsty so my body's using it all somewhere!
I think you should ring the GP and see if they can fit you in this evening, you don't want to let it go on til you pass out/have to be admitted to hospital.Little monkey born November 2012:jFroglet due March 20160 -
ginger tea is very good with dealing with sickness. chewing gum and also peppermint. Ginger def works. try those herbal teabags or make your own fresh cuppa.
am feeling very sleepy. when do those stretchy pains stop then? any idea? i didnt have this many before but i feel them a bit more now, and also sometimes an IBS type pain on my right hand side.Became Mrs H on the 1st of October 2011!!

I'm 11+3 and still getting them occasionally, plus lovely trapped wind pains
. I also get sharp stretchy pains in my pelvis if I stand up too quickly, which I think is ligaments stretching.

is it also true about using cleaning products that are gentler and also face creams etc? i found out all this after my MC, as i had the bounty pack to read and then i chucked it away as i had lost the little one.
i want to get excited but am holding back. DH has clearly shown no signs of emotion as he says what it did to me last time. i really hope all goes well. i would ring the EPU but i wouldnt know which one? I just went to St Thomas's in London last time, as i dont work far from there, but the way things were there, really annoyed me. they just walk around chatting and people are waiting around, and no one is told what is giong on. saying that, when i had my surgery there for the MC, they were wonderful, but just the surgeons. sigh..Became Mrs H on the 1st of October 2011!!

Hi Rups,
Its great to see you on this thread.
Stretching pains which feel like period pains can continue throughout so aren't usually anything to worry about.
If you are worried about bleeding/pains call the EPU for reassurance, unfortunately at this stage they wouldn't be able to see anything on a scan so is more likely to cause extra worry. However don't let this stop you if you are worried as other things can be seen.
I would much rather be a neurotic mother to be than miss something.Overdraft = £1000 Emergency fund = £2500

heykitten pie how are you doing? hope all is going well with you?
yes i see what you mean. i know the doc yest said its normal to feel those pains and said if its so severe to then go straight to the hospital. i cant worry about everything i guess. will go with the flow and ask the doc next week about regular scans or something as St thomas did say i could go back to be monitored and have those weekly vaginal scans not the proper scan as they could see stuff last time.Became Mrs H on the 1st of October 2011!!

I think most hospitals are the same. When I was in theatre giving birth to the boys the staff were talking about the merits of Iphones. My DH was furious, I was too out of it to notice.
If you don't know where to go, call your GP surgery and they can advise, they may even be able to refer you.
I have not used any different face creams etc, there are so many rules sometimes it can add to the stress. Relax if you can and enjoy it.Overdraft = £1000 Emergency fund = £2500
