im having to look at maternity wear already!!On a mission0 -
Morning all
Woke up this morning feeling so much brighter, have made it into work and so far no sickness :j
Lauradora, all my jeans/skirts are too tight to do up, and have been since about 8 weeks, which I assume is bloating (glamourous! :rotfl:). Things without a waistband are still ok though.
I'm using hair elastics to fasten my buttons atm, but I think after my scan next week I'll get a pair of maternity jeansLittle monkey born November 2012:jFroglet due March 20160 -
Hi all,
Hope your scan goes ok tomorrow Cleofish
I seem to be really tired at the moment, literally, I get up about 7 and by lunchtime I am struggling at work - is anyone else like this?
My clothes are ok at the moment Lauradora, but I am having to get new bra's at the weekend - I only have one that fits now!!!2022 Target - Reduce new mortgage balance after house move - Part 1 (Ported) Starting balance £39,982.12 currently £37,242.19 Part 2 Starting Balance £101,997.88 currently £96,197.38 (as at 19/04/2022)0 -
Morning ladies
Good luck with your scan today Cleofish. Hope you enjoy your morning off with your OH and you aren't stressing too much about anything.
Littlemoog - glad you are feeling a little better today. Hope it continues
Lauradora - I'm about 9 weeks and my trousers still fit fine, but I have lost over half a stone with sickness. I do find that as the day goes on they seem to be tighter so when I got home from work last night I undid the button on them. I am mainly wearing stretchy dresses with tights or leggins tho, so they will fit for a long time yet. When I had DD I had gained a stone before the 12 week mark, and I had gone up a size and into stretchier things. Maternity trousers and jeans will probably still be too big for you I would think, so try to wear stretchier things for now if you can.
AFM - I had a bad day yesterday with sickness. Couldn't keep anything down really and was worrying about dehydration as I aren't drinking very much when I am being sick. I kept retching and retching yesterday - mostly not bringing anything up, altho sometimes I was. My tummy is all hurty from being sick and retching now tooTold myself I wouldn't go into work today if I was the same - but I aren't as bad this morning, so I guess I will go in (don't start while 10)
We told all the family at the weekend which was lovely. Everyone is so happy and pleased for us. Its nice to have people know as well. My mum says she will come and help me with my ironing cos I have been going to bed so early the ironing is getting very badly neglected! We have a busy weekend this weekend too - my nephews 1st birthday party, a wedding do, and a christening which is a 3.5 hour round journey to on sunday. I will be able to sleep in the car, but that doesn't get any housework or ironing done does it?!Married my lobster in July 2011

Morning, not been on in a while, hope everyone is ok. Your sickness sounds very similar to mine Littlemoog!
Good luck for your scan today Cleofish
AFM, I had my first midwife appt the other day, but she didnt have time to do a full booking in appointment so just took bloods and urine and said to go back next monday as she is off all this week. She did weigh me and I have lost 10lbs since I got pregnant. I cant wait until I can eat properly again. Was on crackers for most of yesterday and was still throwing them up a few times last night.
Im feeling a bit abandoned at the minute tbh! My midwifes on holiday, Ive been discharged from the fertility clinic and Im supposed to have a consultant with it being twins and I still havent heard who it is or been given an appointment. Having some aching which Im hoping is just stretching but dont have a 'professional' to reassure me!
I have got my 12 week scan date through though, 11th May. Seems such a loooooong time to wait
Oh and can I just ask, is anyone else on any progesterone pessaries?:j:T Gorgeous twin girls born 1st Nov 2012 :T:j0 -

I used them until about 10 weeks. Hateful things."Growth for growth's sake is the ideology of the cancer cell" - Edward Abbey.0 -
Moneypenny, as I posted before I'm really thirsty at the moment, so I'm trying to constantly sip my water/squash rather than gulping it down in large amounts (which makes me sick). It seems to be helping, I can get through 5-6 pints a day plus one overnight at the moment though.
It's funny how different areas do things, I had my booking in about 8 weeks, and I got all my appointments through within about 10 days of seeing the GP, apart from the really important one with the endocrinology consultant  For that they have constantly messed me around, GP refused to do anything til I'd seen the consultatn, clinic lost my referral and when I eventually got an appointment they've had to cancel clinic that day so it's been rescheduled for next week. Just hope all this delay hasn't caused any harm to the babyDH is fuming, and it's making me really stressed. I can't find anything online to answer whether the baby takes the thyroxine it needs leaving me short, or if I take what I need, leaving baby short.

I got my booking in appointment through yesterday, I will be seeing the midwife at 12wk 5 days, my scan is 2 days beforehand. So talk to me about feeling abandoned
. Never mind. But is it ok to have a scan without even seeing the mw first? Not sure.
The worst is that they only do booking in app on Thursdays at 12.30, 13.00, and 13.30 so pick your time. Neither is good for me really and I'm already taking the Tues afternoon off for my scan, not sure what my boss will say for another request. I'm not telling work till end of May:(.
My skirts are getting tight now but thankfully I don't look pregnant yet. I think I have 2 size 12 skirts hidden somewhere, I might find them over the weekend. I eat quite healthy, I crave only salt and butter, gone off biscuits/chocs completely.0 -
Hi all, i dont post often now but read the thread daily, hope all ladies and bumps are as well as you can be
had my scan yesterday, they've bumped me up a few days to what i thought i was so i'm now due on Halloween (eek) however if i choose to have a section i can have it on the 24th oct, or wait to have it normally, i dont know what to do, i like the fact of knowing exactly when bubba will be here but then i also like going home 6 hours after having a normal birth and not being stuck in hospital for at least 2 days (had 2 very quick labours and last baby was a section so i can see from both sides). got a lot of thinking to do, unless this one turns ut breech too and then it'll be a section.Skint, but happy (ish):p0
