Morning ladies
Second day in a row I've made it to work, feeling quite proud of myselfHad to go for a blood test this morning, so had a slightly slower start which made it easier for me though. Having said that I'm considering going home at lunchtime, if I can get the work I need to get finished today done, as have already been sick twice

Oh how I wish I had a lovely flexible job like you, I just had my 4 day weekend off and I dont want to go back
Sadly, although my boss is really flexible, and happy for me to WAH as required, there are things that I can only do at work (where the labs are!) and no one is covering for me so my workload is just piling up waiting for me to get to it  I'm going to be mega busy trying to get my targets finished before I go on ML, so can't really afford to fall behind now
I have managed to finish the presentation for a meeting this afternoon, but I need to finish reviewing 3 papers before then, and my brain is really not in the right place for scientific literature today! :rotfl: Feeling a bit better since this morning, so hopefully will make it through to hometime and pilates tonight before my back starts acting up again!Little monkey born November 2012:jFroglet due March 20160 -

Thank you for all the well wishes.:)
I have an ethical dilemma.:(
I've been vegetarian for 9 years but now that I'm pregnant I don't know whether to eat meat or not.:( I really don't want to because of my morals but then I also know that I need to put the baby's needs before mine.
It doesn't help that I have an ED too so eating is going to be very hard.:(2019 Wins

LadyM, I don't think there's any reason you should eat meat if you don't generally. You do need to make sure you're getting enough protein foods though. There's a chapter in my Miriam Stoppard book about diet with a recommendation for veggies, I'll look it up tonight and post what it saysLittle monkey born November 2012:jFroglet due March 20160

Thank you. That would be very helpful.:)

LadyM - theres no need for you to eat meat as long as you try to provide all the things that the baby needs. I take pregnacare vitamins which have all sorts of vitamins and supplements in, and try to eat as healthily as I can - but thats a challenge with the sickness as some days are very hit and miss. I am mostly wanting fresh foods, such as salads and fruit and yoghurt tho, and plenty of water! So my body is usually telling me the right things to eat.
Theres an article on vegetarian mums to be here: http://www.nhs.uk/Livewell/Vegetarianhealth/Pages/Pregnancyandchildren.aspx and theres a few others I found through google too - but they all say the same sort of thing.
I'm tired today. Walking 2 miles and working is taking it out of me. I presume more so because I aren't managing to eat that much / am being sick a lot. I really can't be faffed to take DD to dance class but I have toWould much prefer a nap!!

Hiya! No experience with ED, I'm afraid but as a pregnant vegetarian (read pescetarian, I eat fish and always have) you shouldn't need to change diet for any reason.
My husband is similar to your DH, in that in the early weeks of pregnancy, would tell me its fine if you crave meat, that's no problem! Seeing as though he wouldn't want to share food, he should be happy. I got vitamins from my midwife as a pilot thing in the country I'm in and as people say, provided your diet is as balanced as possible with ED, there shouldn't be a problem. I'm 22 weeks now and still no signs of wanting meat so I think baby just takes what it is given!
just found this which is quite helpful http://www.vegsoc.org/document.doc?id=9
p.s. don't forget the folic acid!! most important, I'm still taking mine and some vegetarian omega 3, 6 and 9 tablets just in case it does help with brain and eye development
oh, and congratulations to all on here, looking forward to seeing you on 12-24, I lurk daily!
