    Have just updated my age.

Abis21 - my symptoms are MS, MS and more MS, for the last 5 weeks!!! Oh and i'm so tired! Im being sick every day and constant nausea which gets worse every evening. I try to nibble all day which does help a bit, but finding it very difficult to eat anything apart from crackers and some bits of fruit. I have lost quite a bit of weight already and even went to the docs as I was concerned I wasnt eating enough, but he refused to give me anything (I didnt really want to take anything anyway) and said wait til 12 weeks and see if its any better. Im trying not to complain too much, after all we've gone through so much to get here :rotfl:

As for us telling people, our family and close friends knew at 4wks 3days! With having to go through IVF, everyone knew our testing day so had lots of emails and texts the morning of the testing asking if we had the results yet. Took me a while to do the rounds and visit them all with the good news because I didnt believe the first positive test and had to go buy some more :rotfl:

And then we had to do the rounds again when we had the first scan pic with 2 babies on there! I had a scan at 6wk3days as I was at risk of ectopic and then another scan 8wk3days before being discharged from the fertility clinic

Moneypenny As far as I'm aware they leave twins as late as they can but they normally want to make an appearance a few weeks before EDD. Will find out for sure Thursday at my first midwife appointment no doubt.

LadyM hope all is ok xx

Sorry for the epic post - I havent been getting on here as much as I would like !

argh, was in the loos at work earlier and had to run back into cubicle retching after my colleague came in  She made a tactful exit before I left the loo though so I didn't have to talk to her :o
Wasn't actually sick though, which is a bonus

Just a general question, how much earlier do they deliver twins?

As others have said, they doctors do not like you to go beyond 38 weeks as they believe that the placenta doesn't work effectively after this point which is a danger to both mother and babies. However, there are a lot of women who go to 40 weeks successfully. I've decided to take the doctors advice and will be induced this weekend at 37+6.

I'm busy on the Mumsnet guide, have already read Preganancy for Dummies and Pregnancy for Men... Worth having a look at the library, that way you can read a whole load :D

    Hello lovelies. I'm hoooooooooooome. :D

Everything is okay with baby.:) I saw its heartbeat! It's so small!

Bloods were normal but I have ketones and protein in my urine but it wasn't explained to me what that means. :S

Anyway, they said that they think the pain and symptoms is just the M.E's way of dealing with the pregnancy.

They advised me to rest more and to take it easy and to not be afraid to use my wheelchair for shorter distances (I do need it for shorter distances but I always try and push myself because I hate to be seen in it.:o).

Great news ladym :j I'm glad all is ok. Do take the doctor's advice re:resting as much as you can, pregnancy especially the first trimester really takes it out of you and with your ME I can imagine you must be exhausted.

Look after yourself and your LO
