LadyM great news! I am so happy for you have been checking back regularly to see if there was any news
seeing the little heartbeat is amazing isn't it? xx
Moneypenny - pregnancy and IBS are evil lol. The hormones meant that my normal triggers went out of the window, I didn't even have to eat them to suffer. Obviously the cramps and stuff can be really scary though so look after yourself x xYou never know how strong you are until being strong is the only choice you have.

Yayyyyyy, excellent news LadyM!! So pleased :j:j
I told my boss/brother today. All went well :T
Thanks for your help re friends round. DH says it would be more upsetting to waste food we had paid more money for (ie take out / meal out) if I couldn't manage it. My DD has been doing very well at eating all my leftovers tho so I doubt anything would go to waste :rotfl: I managed a sandwich from a bakers for lunch, and some chicken wings n wedges with salad for tea which I picked up today. I think maybe the key is to just get what I fancy on the day? Only been sick twice today - and not 'felt' as sick - as in its not been all day where I have felt ill. Altho having said all this I do right fancy a take out indian :rotfl: Am really far behind with the housework and ironing still tho due to sleeping more and having to rest more. Hope my friends will excuse the mess!!Married my lobster in July 2011
TTC # 2 since Oct 2011 - good things come to those who wait
 2013 is going to be our lucky year :dance:0 -
lady M- so glad that everything was alright for you, least you got some reassurance and you got to see the heartbeat as well, that must have been lovely. make sure you rest up and look afteryourself as well.
abis21- dont worry about any housework or ironing, im sure your friends are there to see you and your family, been feeling really tired myself hoping it will get better and anyway the ironing will still be there tomorrow.
afm my wisdom tooth is playing up again, i should have had it out, but by the time i waited to have it out on the nhs i was pregnant (last time) and after the mc i didnt get around to going back on the list to have it out and now its playing up. I know in the past the pain has been really bad and the thought of not being able to take any antibiotics or pain killers is pretty scary so im trying to be good and gargle salt water hoping that will help until i can see dentist, but cant see what they can really do.
oh is away tonight as his mum has another test tomorrow morning so its just me and the 2 cats lounging about watching :T0 -

Anyway, they said that they think the pain and symptoms is just the M.E's way of dealing with the pregnancy.
Ketones are made when you are not eating enough or drinking so if you are being sick you often produce them. Make sure you eat and drink small amounts regularly.
Protein - could just be from contamination - ie mucus or blood. However they could be a symptom of an infection and later in pregnancy can be a sign of pre-eclampsia.
That is why the midwife always checks your wee with a dipstick every time she sees you.
Really pleased all is ok xI must not fear. Fear is the mind-killer.
Fear is the little-death that brings total obliteration.
I will face my fear. I will permit it to pass over and through me. When it has gone past I will turn the inner eye to see its path.
When the fear has gone there will be nothing. Only I will remain.0 -
So glad all is well LadyM
I've not had a great day
I notified my Head & senior management about my pregnancy, I was then told I had to speak to the Risk Assessment Co-ordinator which I knew would happen but I really still wanted it kept between just those few people. However, I am a bit annoyed as the RA Co-ord wasn't the most discreet & we ended up having a meeting in a flaming corridor where people continued to walk past so I'll be very surprised if it stays a secret for long!
To top it off, at lunchtime I had blurred vision, so I made a Dr appointment. (2nd one in 2 days!?) He said my BP was a little lower than yesterday which is good, has told me to increase my beta-blockers & I have to take in a urine sample tomorrow morning.
Me & OH are thinking of paying privately for an early scan- I'm 7+5 could even get a booking this Saturday? Is it worth waiting another week or 2 (if I can manage it!?) I don't think I can wait until my 12 week scan??Married my wonderful husband February 2013!:happyhearI want to wear my beautiful wedding dress everyday- it would make shopping so much more fun, I mean, people go shopping in their pyjamas these days.......Must STOP spending!!!Proud to be dealing with my debts!0 -
Emylou, if you have a scan at 7 weeks it will probably look like a blob as horrible as that sounds, but you will get to see heart beat
At 12 week scan you get to see a much more formed baby with arms and legs etc.
I desperately wanted an early scan and after all the problems with my midwife even trying to get a normal 12 week scan I nearly gave in but in the end I am glad I waited as I got to see a lot more and I would have still worried inbetween the early scan and the 12 week one.You never know how strong you are until being strong is the only choice you have.

I had an early scan at 7 weeks and it was just a blob! It alos hasn't re-assured me much so I would say to hang fire....:jBaby Boy born December 20120 -
Emylou - I had a scan at 6wk4days and they were just tiny blobs but my last scan at 8wk4days they were very baby-like, they just had tiny stumpy arms and legs! In fact when I showed the scan to my Dad he said they looked like Casper the ghost! And the hearteats were so strong and clear:j:T Gorgeous twin girls born 1st Nov 2012 :T:j0

So pleased to hear that all is well with you and beanie LadyM. Try to sleep whenever you are tired. As emsbet and others have said, tiredness really affects you in the first trimester.
Emylou I'm sorry to hear about your bad day and your RA coordinator being less than discreet. Hope the doctors get to the bottom of the blurred vision.
A good book is the one that Babycentre have written: pregnancy from preconception to birth. It has lots of quotes from actual parents including a dad's diary which my DH liked. We got it at the library rather than buying any books though.Enjoy the little things, for one day you may look back and realize they were the big things.I married Moon 8/4/2011, baby boy born 26/9/2012, Angel Baby Poppy born 8/11/15, Rainbow baby boy born 11/2/20170
