    Evening ladies :)

been away at my friend's wedding for a few days. Nothing new to report, morning sickness still coming and going. Wasn't sick at all yesterday at the wedding though, which was a relief :) Also managed to eat a lot of vegetables for the first time this week, and am now feeling less bunged up :o

Somehow it's easier if I don't have to think about what to eat beyond ordering from a menu! Not sure I'll be able to persuade DH to take me out for dinner every night til I feel better though :rotfl: might get him to do more of the cooking though, still can't look in the fridge without throwing up :(

Stopped at bicester village on the way home, got 2 short dresses and a maxi dress in the Fat Face outlet, plus a free pair of sunglasses :D All the dresses are a stretchy jersey fabric, so should see me through the spring/summer.

10 weeks tomorrow, and 2 weeks til my scan on Monday, can't wait!

    Thought I'd update!

I was meant to be seeing my GP today. Our surgery has a system where they have so many advanced appointments and then when they're gone you have to phone up in the morning to get one for that day.
I was told that my GP was in today (she works part-time) so I phoned up early this morning only to be told that the earliest available appointment for her was next Wednesday! The receptionist could tell that I was stressed by that point (I have a massive anxiety of using the phone. :o) so said that she'd get my GP to call me. I don't trust any of the other GPs.

Anyway, she phoned me and we just talked through things like when my last period was, how I feel about it etc. I mentioned the stabbing pain in my abdomen and the pain in my shoulder, but it's now more an ache (which I usually get). She said not to worry and that I'm still only 3 weeks but that she wants to see me at 5 weeks because of my medical history. She said that I'll get alot of support from the surgery etc due to my medical problems, which reassured me. She then asked if I'm sure that I want to continue with the pregnancy because of the M.E and I do want to. I'm just apprehensive!

She said that because of my history and because it's still early days, there may be a chance that I'll miscarry and to phone her if I have any bleeding or anything.

In other news, my sea-bands arrived and I'm finding it hard to put them on the right place on my wrists!

LadyM, glad you spoke to your GP and she was able to reassure you :)

I wish I could say that I'm feeling better but I keep on getting brown blood (I know that that is better than fresh blood though!) and very bad cramps in my right abdomen.

I hate complaining and feel bad about it. :( Going to see if it subsides and then if it doesn't, get in touch with my GP. She said to get in touch with her if I have any bleeding, but I don't know if she just meant blood red bleeding or any bleeding.=/ Oh, and she only works part time!

It's nice to read about other people's pregnancies though.:)

    Morning Ladies

Welcome & congratulations cake4brains :j:j How exciting to have twins! My friend had IVF at 27 after trying for 3 years and finding that she wasn't ovulating properly. She has twins too - a boy and a girl. And she still have a frozen egg left if they decide to try for a sibling in a few years. It really is a miracle the way they can help people, altho I am sure you will have found the journey so far harder than most. How are the symptoms with twins? I keep saying to my DH that I would love twins as I would like 2 more babies and he says 1 more - so he wouldn't have much of a choice if this was twins :rotfl:

Dizsiebubba - thanks for all that info - I ordered one on ebay :T Haven't told DH yet tho ;) Am excited for being able to hear it. When I had DD I heard the heartbeat in my midwife appts, but you only get a short-ish blast of it, so it will be nice to be able to hear it whenever we like.

Littlemoog - hopefully the sickness will get better soon. I'm really struggling with it now, trying to find something I fancy to eat is a nightmare at the mo. DH made bacon butties for breakfast and I managed 1/4 of mine :( Was hoping if he made it, I would be able to eat it, but no such luck. Having some ginger beer at the mo and thats going down really well. If you find any tips for helping with it - please let me know. With DD I just had to avoid getting too hungry but this time round it doesn't seem to matter if I have just eaten or whether I am about to eat. I was sick / retched about 8 times yesterday, including in the middle of the night :( Nothing much is coming up, its just more annoying than anything else.

Lauradora - lol for eating your DD's easter eggs. My DD doesn't really notice if I pinch some of hers :rotfl: She still has selection boxes left from christmas which me and DH have been 'helping' her with :rotfl:

Moneypenny - hope your tiredness and heartburn is easing a little now. Don't be wishing yourself to be sick tho - its rubbish, lol!!

AFM - We told DD yesterday about baby. Feels soooo good now that she knows. She was excited, but not so giddy that I think she will tell the secret to everyone. She asked to speak to baby, and got to my tummy and said 'I hope you're a girl!' :rotfl: She also spoke to my tummy this morning to say 'I love you' :happyhear I let her ring my best friend to 'tell her the news' so she didn't feel like it was bursting out of her. Told her that she can tell everyone the news, but only when I say its ok. So we are going to tell the parents next weekend and she can be in charge of that. She is really pleased with everything :D

I managed to buy a matching border this morning from ebay that I had for the rest of my nursery range. They aren't stocked anymore at Mothercare, and the range got updated from my version a couple of years after we bought everything. So feel really happy that we managed to get the exact matching one, considering it was over 6 years ago when we bought the rest of the range.

Going to a christening in a while. Hope I don't feel too sick while I am there. :o

    Hello everyone,

I had a +poas on Thursday & had an appointment with my consultant on Friday (I have a heart condition so have been monitored since birth). My consultant says I'm 7 weeks which is much farther than I had thought!?:j
I have a Drs appointment tomorrow pm which I'd made last week for a different reason anyway.

Me & my OH are very excited but I'm so nervous something could go wrong. My brother & his GF had a miscarriage earlier this year- they found out at the 12 week scan that the baby had died at about 7 weeks :( My OH has sworn me to secrecy & I know that's the safest thing but I am so desperate to announce it!
I've been feeling quite queasy (sp) the past few days & today I had a really bad headache too :( I was a little bit sick & ended up going to bed crying in pain with the headache (I'm such a wuss! Trying not to think about the labour at the moment lol!!) Is there anything I can take for the headaches and sickness. If I hadn't known I was pregnant I would have thought it was a migraine & therefore would have taken Migraleve!

I will try to read back through & get to know your stories when feeling a bit less rubbish, please excuse me for today :o

I want to wear my beautiful wedding dress everyday- it would make shopping so much more fun, I mean, people go shopping in their pyjamas these days.......
    Must STOP spending!!! :)
Proud to be dealing with my debts!

Welcome Emylou, the first 12 weeks are some of the hardest with regards to worry. There is no right or wrong about announcing, some do some don't it won't change anything should the worst happen.

With regards to your headache, you can take paracetamol (sp) most other things are off the table.
