    Hi ladies!

Hope you don't mind me poking my head round the door.

Had IC +ves on Sunday and Monday, and a digi BFP of 2-3 weeks on Tuesday.

Not sure if I'm fully ready to enter the room yet following the mc in Dec but will be popping in now and then if you don't mind.

    Have a good evening, ladies.

Ooooo, really? Cos I ov'd on CD29, whereas most people's cycle finished around then. So they might put me forward 2 weeks?? That would be WELL cool, altho I may have to kiss goodbye to my 12/12/12 date of birth if they start putting me forward :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

Yep, I ov'd CD20 so had been using that to predict my EDD of 8th October and the MW adjusted my lmp to go by it but then when we saw the sonographer and explained opk's and temping they said they would only use the conception date had it been an assisted conception eg IVF and to use my lmp and then bubs measured 13 weeks which tied in with lmp so due date got moved forward to 3rd October :) x

Lalaland - can totally relate to you with the feeling poo!! I have a nearly 6 yo DD. She has been at a dance school this week 9-4, but I have still been at work for 4 hours, and walk around 2 miles to get to and from work and to and from dance class. Am not finding enough time around dance school to nap before she comes home, and so by the time I have made tea I just crash and don't want to move after then. I feel so lazy - haven't done any ironing for a couple of weeks now  Hoping to get caught up on some housework this weekend.

Cleofish :rotfl: about wishing the sickness away and then wanting it back so you have 'symptoms'.

LadyM - I haven't had any headaches yet. You are allowed to take paracetamol in pregnancy tho, so don't suffer. You can't take ibroprufen tho, so avoid those.

mlbarret - welcome and congratulations :j:j Join in as much or as little as you like. This board is a little quieter than the TTC board, but if you have any questions someone will get back to you soon ish normally.

Ikkle - thanks for that info - I'll try and go with an open mind and just see what happens. Soooo looking forward to the scan :j

AFM - have been sick again at work today. My mum and dad had come to pick my DD up to take her through to dance rehersals today, and as they pulled up I started to feel ill. So had to go to the loo in front of my brother (my boss), mum, dad, DD, and our regular delivery driver who I was chatting to at the time. I am quite a quiet sick person, so I just walked back in a couple of mins later and tried to pretend it was normal to walk off while chatting to people?!? Didn't know what else to do :rotfl:

Managed to eat a bit more tea last night and lunch today so I am pleased about that - altho I have nowhere near my normal approach to food or drink going on at the mo. I only really fancy water at the minute - anything else isn't really sitting right with me.
 Married my lobster in July 2011

TTC # 2 since Oct 2011 - good things come to those who wait :o

 2013 is going to be our lucky year

Is it normal to feel like you're not ready to be a parent? :o DH and I really want kids, but I can't help but think that my disabilities mean that I'm going to be a rubbish mum.:(

DH and I are supposed to be going to a friends gathering thing tomorrow, but the M.E is really bad at the moment and the last thing I want is to be in a room full of people when I feel like crap!

LadyM, everyone worries that they are not going to be good parents, the fact that you are already thinking about providing the best for the baby is a good sign that you will be a great parent. I'm 15 weeks and I still go oh my god what have we done now and then.

As for your disabilities don't let that stop you hun, you will find ways of doing things.

    Thank you.:o

I think I worry what other people will think more than anything. We've only told my two best friends, GP and my psych because we don't want to tell anyone else until after the safe 12 weeks, but in the past people have asked "If you have severe M.E, how can you have sex?" :o not realising that the answer is once every couple of months and I'm bedbound for a week afterwards. They seem to think we're at it like rabbits!

I'm going to need a pushchair/buggy that hooks onto my wheelchair because I can't self-propel so I can't push myself and DH push the buggy but I can't find any. :(

I'm not sure if it would be suitable for you but would you or OH be able to manage with a sling for out and about? Just in the early days?

Have you looked on here? http://www.dlf.org.uk/factsheets/Disability_pregnancy_and_parenthood.pdf

I'm not sure how helpful that may be or if any of the contacts are still valid but could be worth a try.

    Theres also:

    Disability, Pregnancy and Parenthood international

Or you may find some support on http://disabledparentsnetwork.org.uk/useful-links/

I hope these links help and you don't mind me posting them hun x

Also ask your GP to refer you to a community Occupational Therapist who can come and see you at home and assess your needs. She can suggest equipment for the baby and you and adaptations. You may well have seen one already so might already be on their books, so can request a re-assessment if that is the case.
I must not fear. Fear is the mind-killer.
Fear is the little-death that brings total obliteration.
I will face my fear. I will permit it to pass over and through me. When it has gone past I will turn the inner eye to see its path.
When the fear has gone there will be nothing. Only I will remain.

    Thank you.

I had an OT assessment a couple of months ago to get adaptations. I didn't realise that they keep you on their books!
