cleofish - if you are 12 weeks on 9th may, would your EDD not be around a week sooner?
I know they are all subject to change once we have all had our dating scans though.
I keep looking at my little Baby Bee on my phone, I have a photo of the scan from the EPU on there and although it is just a blob, it is my blob
anyone think they know what they are having? I keep saying 'him' and have convinced myself I will have a son!:jBaby Boy born December 20120 -

i know it seems a bit confusing, just had another check and have amended the list, because my perios had been irregular and because i kinda roughly know (give or take couple of days) when my ov happened i have lots of dates but im putting the worst case sceanario date down so when hopefully i go for my 12 weeks i might be a couple of days over.
so edd roughly stays the same but my 12 week mark has changed.0 -
Lauradora (30) EDD 08/11/12 1 daughter premature, 1 mc, 1 ect. This is my DH first. 12 weeks 24th April 2012
LittleMoog (30) EDD 12/11/12 No other children. 12 weeks on 29th April 2012. Scan 30th April!
Dizsiebubba (24) EDD 21/11/12 No other children. 12 weeks on 8th May 2012. Scan 9th May.
cleofish (29) EDD 28/11/12 no other children (2 mcs) 12 weeks on 16th may 2012 (i think depending on my cycle length)
Kavics17 (32) EDD 28/11/12, no other children (1MC), 12 weeks on 16th May
Abis21 (30) EDD 02/12/12 (oooo, maybe I will get a 12/12/12 baby! How exciting!) DD(aged nearly 6) altho this is my DH's first. 12 weeks on 20th May 2012.0 -
right have amended my dates on the list hopefully that should be right on a 31 day cycle, with first day of last period being 19/2/12? that is what ive just checked, i think even if i go by ovulation date it gives me edd of 29/11/12 and 12 week as 17/5/12 so only a day out, so will just see what they say at 12 week scan.
im going to try and get an early scan at about 8 weeks+ so hopefully not to long to wait till then. :T0 -

Don't know if it's just the summer range or something, but as my EDD is in november I want regular thickness clothes to last me until then!
Very true. The top I bought is quite wispy but then I'm due at the end of June and I'm already feeling like I've got my own internal hot water bottle. It's going to be hard work when it gets properly hot"Growth for growth's sake is the ideology of the cancer cell" - Edward Abbey.0 -
Hi All
Thank you all for your support,
I was so panicky that I completely forgotten to give any real background!!
I have PCOS and had been referred for support with conception, and in the meantime had moved house so things had been on the back burner a bit, my PCOS appt is on this fri, well last weekend I was taken into hospital with abdominal pain, and they did a pregnancy test and told me I was pregnant.
Because of the pain they tested my blood and came back and told me about my progesterone, I have had no recurring pain or spotting and have decided that I maybe was focusing a bit too closely on that one result
I would feel better about progesterone supplements but I do recognise they are controversial.
I notified the local midwives online (they have a very flash system) and they will see me on the 8th week, so have decided to chill and try and keep calm for three weeks. I am taking pregnacare etc so I think I am doing all i can
Good luck to all, and Woofball I think its so lovely that you want to support your DW

Hello,
Welcome Woot to the thread  Its all a little daunting and new to begin with. This is my second pregnancy and not only have I forgotten some stuff from last time, also lots of things are different already. I've heard that there is no such thing as 'normal' pregnancy - everybodys symptoms are completely different. So try not to worry too much about things.
Someone asked about a good pregnancy book the other day and I recommend Kaz Cooke's a rough guide to pregnancy. It was light hearted and easy to read, but still had all the facts n info in there that you need.
Kavics - welcome back :j Surprised yr hubby didn't go for the doctors appointment being routine that you dragged him along to :rotfl::rotfl: Did you tell his family? Or waiting for that? Must have been lovely to see baby on the screen
Littlemoog  for them losing your referral!! I would have been fuming too. Babies do usually take what they need tho and leave us mummies will less tho, so am sure everything will be fine. I loved next maternity gear last time round. Think most of my stuff came from mothercare or next. The nearest shop with a maternity range to try on is 25 miles from me, so I liked the fact that you could order from next and send it back for free if you didn't like it. Think I kept most of the things I did buy tho, and I still have them from last time.
Cleofish - try not to worry about the tummy pains etc. Unless they are enough to double you over or you are bleeding at the same time then it should be fine. There are all sorts of strecthing things going on down there and also the digestion is completely changing as well. I have way more wind that usual - especially after eating. I am usually burping for england much to my husbands amusement! Hopefully you can get an early scan tho to reassure you. I have irregular periods too, but I found a site that allowed you to put your ovulation date in to work out all the dates of everything. Made it easier to calculate things for me.
Dizsiebubba - I have no inkling yet as to what we are having. Me and DH keep discussing whether we will find out. I didn't want to know with DD, altho I was convinced she was a boy. As I didn't know, all of the nursery things, pram etc are all neutral, so we don't 'need' to know. My DD and myself would be rather partial to have another little girl tho. DD has a brother with her dad, and 4 boy cousins, and no girls, so she is quite desperate for a sister. I really won't mind either way, as I would love a little sister for her, but having 1 of each would also be really cool. But I think she would be really quite disappointed if it was a boy (even if it was only for a day or 2), so I figured if we found out early we would have more time to prepare her for it.
AFM - had an 11 hour sleep last night and feel soooooo much better for it. Still full of cold and got a horrid cough to go with it now, but sleep really does make a lot of difference and I feel so much brighter today.
Only 3 days to go til we tell DD about baby, and only 5 days to go til my booking in appt with the midwives. Its all getting closer and more excitingHaven't told anyone else yet, so I am doing really well.
Dug my maternity bras out this morning, and have one on today. Haven't had achy boobs so far today so hoping that the bra has helped. They were hurting lots yesterday, so I'm glad I dug them out. Also discovered I have some sleep bras in there which I don't think I used last time? Think I am going to use them this time tho, as they don't half feel heavy when I don't have a bra on.Married my lobster in July 2011

Glad I'm not the only one re: maternity clothes. I am 12 weeks tomorrow - had some bleeding and an early scan moved me on by ten days, had 12 week scan today
but I am already struggling to fit into my clothes. Although in fairness I mostly wear close fitting stuff. I had a hunt in another wardrobe for some looser things and have bought some stuff from e bay. We popped to Bluewater on Monday and many stores didn't even have a maternity section. Those that did were pretty dire - Next had tangerine coloured jeans on offer...I don't want to spend the next six months in combats and tees. I wouldn't wear that anyway! I had a look at some sewing patterns but they were just as hideous. I have found some tutorials online though for making tops from oversized tees, and I am in the process of turning a dress that would have been a tent on me into something wearable. I got a bump band from DPs but it's just a strip of jersey fabric, I was expecting something supportive. H&M do have some nice things, and a bit more choice, however the fabric is quite flimsy. They have an offer on at the moment, spend more than ten quid and get a fiver off, you have to get a card from a cashier though, my one is valid from 16th - 29th April - great excuse to go back again methinks!
I have had many Light Bulb Moments. The trouble is someone keeps turning the bulb off
