Awww, thats lovely scottishchick. What type of doppler is it? I think I am going to get one so that DD can hear it too. I've seen some where you can record the sound too which would be lovely.

I got the angelsounds one from amazon, cost about £20. It has a cable for recording the sound but I haven't figured out how to work it yet.:j little fire cracker born 5th November 2012 :j0

hi everyone,
sorry i havent posted for a while. Been a very busy week here with oh mum's and oh being away, could quite gladly forget this week but hey its a week closer to being 12 weeks (currently nearly 7 weeks i think).
littlemoog- sorry to hear your still being sick, if your being sick fluids as well (think i read back that you had been) perhaps its worth having a word with your doc or your midwife, to at least make sure you are able to keep fluids down, must be really rough on you, sending hugs.
bikelesschick- congrats on passing the 12 week mark hoping the rest goes smooth and quick for you.
moggypants- congrats on your pregnancy news.
kavics17- congrats on your scan, bet that was lovely seeing that heartbeat and bet it was lovely being able to tell your oh at last.
i am sure there was more i wanted to say but ive forgotten now, will try to catch up later.
sickness for me has been firmly set in this week, just the constant queziness all the time, havent actually been sick, went up with oh earlier this week to see his mum and the drive in the car was nearly enough to start me off, thought of you guys and your sandwich bags, i should have been prepared.
oh's mum had some good news doesnt look like its spread but she needs another test to see if they can operate or not and what treatment to expect after, so a bit of good news at least.
But been really tired, very very sore boobs and every time i wake up i feel sick and it stays there all day, no matter if i eat small meals, big meals, suck on sweets...just the constant feeling of being hungover when i wake up and the queeziness all day... how ever the human race managed to keep on having babies... i dont know,
never mind the not being to go to the toilet and im still getting bad headaches as well. God im a moaner todaydont even have an appetite for food or chocolate.. think my eggs will go uneaten this weekend, unless oh scoffs the lot..
anyway, hope everyone has a good easter weekend, going to curl up on sofa and relax for a bit.0 -
Evening ladies
Feelign a little better today, felt sick quite a lot, but not actually thrown up apart from once, which is an improvement. I told my sisters about the baby today as we're seeing them all on Sunday for my niece's baptism, and I thought it would be a bit suss if I was constantly running for the bathroom :rotfl: which I was yesterday.
I'm still having problems getting enough fluids in. Normally I drink a lot (5-6 pints of squash a day), but I tend to drink half to 3/4 of a glass in one go, which I think was overloading my tummy, so been trying to sip it more frequently. I'm still getting quite dehydrated as I can't get through as much as normal. I also got some sherbert pips from the sweet shop, and sucking a couple of those if I start to feel sicky seems to help, even if it's just the distraction!
Cleo, sorry to hear you're feeling so grotty, it's rubbish isn't it!Little monkey born November 2012:jFroglet due March 20160 -
Hello everyone. Feel a bit weird posting on here but hey ho. I have to tell someone or I may go insane and it's so hard not putting it on FB (if any of you have me on there, please don't mention it on my FB lol).
Period was 8 days late so decided to do a pregnancy test. We hadn't been trying but hadn't been preventing, if you see what I mean? I'm disabled (I have M.E), DH is my carer and I have a prevalent history of Anorexia Nervosa, which I still have a degree off so was expecting things to take a while because of that and because we have sex maybe once every 6 weeks due to my illness.
Took a Clearblue pregnancy test (the one with the conception indicator) and it was pregnant with a conception time of 3+ weeks, which the instructions say the GP will date as 5+ weeks.
Obviously I'm going to see my doctor asap. I'm excited but also extremely scared as to how the M.E is going to cope with pregnancy etc.
Sorry for the ramble.:o2019 Wins

Thank you.:)
I haven't had any symptoms yet apart from the missed period so I'm a bit :S about that. I have a very severe phobia of throwing up so I'm worried about morning sickness too!
My DH is very excited at the prospect of being a daddy. I'm a bit worried about other people's perceptions of us, but my best friend says that I should stop worrying what people think. Easier said than done though!2019 Wins

Aww congratulation Lady Morticia! Don't worry about having no symptoms, I only had a couple of days feeling queasy and was only sick once. Hopefully you won't get morning sickness. Listen to your friend, who cares what other people think of you xx:j little fire cracker born 5th November 2012 :j0

Thank you. That makes me feel better!
It's just that because the M.E means that I can't work at the moment (even though I would love to. It's degrading not being able to) and my husband can't work due to being my full-time carer, I worry that people will think that we're scroungers and just having a baby for "extra benefits", which isn't the case at all.
I'm doing an Open University degree so that I can better myself and have something to show for being so ill, but it's a struggle as the M.E causes severe brain fog and exhaustion.
I know that we will manage. My husband is fantastic. I just wish that our circumstances were better.:(2019 Wins

Hi everyone
I am now at 9+1 and have a booking in appt on thur. Midwife is coming to my house which I thought was odd - was expecting to go to the hospital
My nausea has got much worse over the last few days. Not being sick but feeling constantly as though I am going to be. My boobs are also huge and the cat is obsessed with them. My OH will keep her on his lap so she doesn't hurt me and she will be reaching over to knead them - she has been doing this since before we knew we were pg so I think she can tell
