I know lots of people say this all the time but 12 weeks will be here before you know it. The thing I found that made the weeks go quicker was to not count the days but just the weeks. Last time I counted the days it just made the time drag.

Littlemoog have you tried eating a dry biscuit before getting out of bed? I heard that can help with the sickness.

Hi everyone! After trying for fourteen months, I found out Sunday night/yesterday I'm pregnant (sunday night I had a positive test that I thought must be wrong - I went and bought the digital tests yesterday which confirmed it). I'm 1-2 weeks according to the test/ 3-4 weeks going from my last period. This is my first pregnancy and I have to admit I haven't got a clue. I went to my doctor today and booked for the midwife to contact me for an appointment. x

Thanks Emsbet, but I'm not feeling sick in the mornings (except this morning from tiredness), it's more like about 2 hours after I eat, and comes on so fast I don't get a chance to try and quell it :o

    Welcome Moggypants!

LittleMoog, hopefully you will feel better. I have no sickness whatsoever, really glad about that!

I am now on my way to the airport to see my OH, I feel very very nervous. Unfortunately he is coming to pick me up with his sister (I am so very cross as I begged him to come on his own) so not sure when I will be able to tell him the good news. We also have a scan booked but need to find a way to get away from his family.

Wish me luck Girls, I'll be back on Monday to update.

oooh hope you have a lovely weekend Kavics, bet your OH will be really surprised!

re: morning (all-day:o) sickness, I was doing quite well until the middle of last week, but it now seems to have hit in earnest. Luckily I've got some paperwork I can do at home for today, will have to try and go in tomorrow as it's the last day before my holiday! :D Then I'm off until 16th, so hopefully it will have settled down by then.

Anyone got any nice plans for Easter? It's my niece's baptism on Sunday, so we're having a family party. Then on Monday we're going for dinner at FIL's - first time we've seen them since we got pg and they got engaged, so I think it will be very celebratory!
Also planning a trip to IKEA on Friday to sort out our new bedroom furniture (it's been chosen since January, but everytime we look online they don't have a part in stock!), rearranging our room, and sorting out the garden! Tuesday we're taking MIL to the theatre for her birthday, then on Thursday we're off to a friend's wedding where DH is best man. Lots of lovely things planned, although we'll hopefully also fit in some relaxing! :rotfl:

    Morning ladies

    Welcome & congratulations moggypants :j

Littlemoog - boooo for the sickness! Sounds terrible!! I haven't had any yet - just a couple of retching sessions when I have smelt something bad. I didn't get anything terribly with DD either - so it will come as a shock if I do get sickness badly this time! Sounds like you have a lovely weekend planned. Hope you do manage to get some relaxing in as well :)

Kavics - oh how exciting!! Looking forward to hearing OH's reaction and how the scan goes etc. Have an amazing weekend :D

AFM - am suffering with the tiredness for definate now! Was in bed for 8.30 for the last 2 nights  And my b00bs feel really heavy and sore. Am thinking I'm gonna need to start wearing a bra in bed soon cos they don't like being let out their cage at the mo! My DD bumped them yesterday so I said could she be careful as they are a bit sore at the mo, and she said it was because I am getting milk in them ready for the baby coming! She doesn't know yet, but did know that we were trying to get a baby in my tummy. I did >very< well not to crack, lol!! Hoping to tell her next week as she is back to her dad's tomorrow so I would rather tell her when I have her for a longer time afterwards.

Talking of DD, I took her shopping yesterday to our local shopping centre and we chanced upon some recording for blue peter. She got dressed up in a crown and cloak and sat on a throne and did a piece to camera on what she would do if she was queen. It was very exciting! :j She might be on telly in May, but they did film quite a few children so I guess they will pick the best. She was very clear at speaking, so will have to keep our fingers crossed. She got a letter to send off and then she will get a blue peter badge. :T Was a brilliant day out, but boy was I tired out afterwards!

As for easter, DD is with her dad, but my and DH are going away to the seaside which will be nice for a break. Am hoping to do lots of resting, lol! Don't think the weather is going to be that good tho :( Its been snowing a bit here this morning

LittleMoog - hope you are feeling better today? I'm finding that if I don't eat every 1.5hrs I fell really really sick... have you tried the 6 small meals instead of 3??? :(

Kavics - Good Luck with telling the OH and dodging the family. Hope the scan is exciting and brings fab news. Keeping my fingers crossed for you x

Abis - *Hugs* I have very sore b00bies too so i feel your pain... OH has always been a b00b man so as they are swelling he can't help himself grabbing onto them but oh how it hurts :(

My news is that i had a scan at the EPU today... i had a little bleeding again and all my cramps are on the left so they were checking for ectopic, mis-carriage, molar and cysts but all is ok and i saw blob's heartbeat and they gave me a picture of blob to keep...yay! :) 7+1 today... hurry up 12 so i can tell the world!

Nothing exciting planned for easter, just some time of with the OH and my booking appt on Friday :)

    xx

I've told DH to keep his hands off for now, lol! They are still doing ok in my bra - just a tiny amount of overspill at times. But they feel so much bigger and heavier than before which is why I think they are sore at times.

Can you not tell the world now dizsiebubba now you have seen the heartbeat?? I would sooooo be telling everyone, lol! Am itching to tell people - not liking this waiting business.

Yayy for getting a piccie and being reassured that everything is ok. Shame you are having cramps n bleeding tho. Hopefully its put your mind at rest now tho.
