We will have the screening. I haven't talked to OH yet obviously (as he still doesn't know I'm pregnant, I'm 6+1 today) but we will have. I am too much of a worrier, just want to know everything is ok.
I have got the chocolates for OH and will write the note today, I'm seeing him on Wed!
Can I ask you how early would you fly with a baby? I know that OH would insist of flying to see either my parents or his parents for Xmas (bean is due 24th NOv) but I really don't want to go as early yet. I know that airlines allow you to fly from day 15. It will be a battle to persuade him but I grow this baby so I guess he will need to accept it.
I took my munchkin at just turned 6 weeks. It was absolutely fine, he was awake the whole time albeit for a short journey and loved it, was smiling away the whole time. Coming back he was a bit cranky before the plane took off, but he was tired so I assume that's why, but once we took off he just fell asleep. I am taking him again on Tuesday, for the same flight and he will be 9 weeks and 3 days, so will let you know how it goes. The frontier is never somewhere else. Aw thanks Kitten, we've been through the mire with this one, I'll tell you, but came out the other end and are better for it
Does seem like such a long long time ago, I miss being pregnant! It's weird how it seems like a while ago, but then it doesn't seem like 9 weeks since Aarons been born if that makes sense?!? Probably doesn't, my brain is frazzled.
How are you keeping? Still hiding that bump of yours? The frontier is never somewhere else. And no stockades can keep the midnight out.0 -
Wow, 9 weeks already. I missed being pregnant too, although only for about 6 weeks
.
Still hiding the bump although getting very obvious now. Think we may have to tell sooner that we wanted. Preparing myself for the constant support messages and hoping that they don't forget the boys in the meantime.Overdraft = £1000 Emergency fund = £2500

How many weeks now? Will you be finding out the sex?
I don't think anyone will ever forget your boys, it's just a hard thing for people to bring up with you maybe and they're not sure how to approach or speak about it for fear of upsetting you? I know how I'd be in that situation as I'm a bit of foot in mouth at the best of times
A family friend of mine, lost her twin boys at around 34 weeks, and I don't think anyone ever forgets, even now she has her twin girls. So I hope people you know are as thoughtful, although I've no doubt they will be.The frontier is never somewhere else. And no stockades can keep the midnight out.0 -
Most people have foot in mouth situations, myself included. As long as it is meant well it is fine.
About 15/16weeks I think, will be finding out the sex if we can. Have all the boys stuff so may need to get girl stuff. I have an inkling that it is a girl this time. Just trying to stay positive. In a positive mood today which is good.Overdraft = £1000 Emergency fund = £2500

hi everyone,
sat in bed catching up on the thread, alone tonight as oh has driven up to spend tonight over his parents as his mum is going to be in hospital all day tomorrow having tests, and hes going with her for support. So anxious as well about tomorrow for her, hoping it will be good news that it hasnt spread anywhere else.
moneypenny- congrats on your bfp, although i did get confused when i read the thread backwards and saw a moneypuddle having a good scan until i realised the names were different, so congrats as well to moneypuddle for your scan (hopefully got those the right way around)
kittenpie- cant believe your 15/16 weeks already, i remember seeing your bfp on the ttc board, its weird it seems like other peoples weeks go quick while your own drag, probably the same for others as well though.
with me, seems like sickness has started to kick in, its more queeziness than actually being sick and its more all day rather than in the morning or just the evening as i used to get before.
Really not fancying any food and with oh away tonight all i could be bothered to make was tuna sandwiches and i only had 2 as they tasted salty? (tuna was in oil rather than brine so not sure where that was from??) at the minute it just seems a waste of effort to prepare food, because as soon as its in front of me, i dont fancy it, it smells funny, tastes horrible ..... grr
I seem to be stuck in a situation where its reasurring me i have symptoms, because with the mc in nov my symptoms had disappeared (but i thought coming up to 12 weeks that was normal) but when i had the molar because my hcg levels were 250,000 and above i had really bad boobs, bad headaches, bad sickness....so the last couple of days ive swayed between thinking 'is this normal for pregnancy (ive never had normal) to 'what if the molar has returned because i feeling sick nearly all day and my boobs are hurting that i have to wear support bras to bed at night.
Its like intense 2ww symptom spotting.... ill drive myself mad... if only i could have a look inside or had a pouch like a kangaroo.:rotfl:i could just have a little peep every now and then to make sure everything was fine.0 -

just to say that you can get early scans at your local epu centre, they normal advise for you to be seen i think after 7 weeks (when they are more likely to see a heartbeat) if you still getting cramps or they get worse with any bleeding i would speak to you doc/midwife and ask to be referred for an early reassurance scan, so you wouldnt have to wait till 12 weeks.
but you might find that the cramping dies down or doesnt happen all the time as its more than likely its just stretching going on.0 -
Hope everything goes well tomorrow cleofish.
I'm not sure if things are going quickly or slowly but still have constant nausea and can't eat most things. I had this until the heartburn kicked in last time so thinking it will be around for a while.
As unreassuring as it is, there is no such thing as a normal pregnancy.
Because everything you feel is 'perfectly normal' no matter what happens . OH and I joke that if I grew a third arm it would be 'perfectly normal' If I turned green it would be 'perfectly normal' you get the idea.
I think I forgot to congratulate you moneypuddle on your scan, so congrats (hope I have the right money this time)

morning ladies
thanks for all the replies about screening yesterday, it's nice to hear other people's thoughts on it. We've decided to have the screening to know if we're low/high risk (because DH wants to, I'm not fussed), and then take any other decisions as they come.
Managed to get some new bras yesterday, with a bit of growing space in them - wish I'd gone to bravissimo the first time I got refitted, but I didn't have time to make a trip to milton keynes
Also went to mothercare to try on some maternity things and work out what size I am there - I'm between a 16 and an 18 which makes ordering clothes online a bit of a gamble. Looks like I'm a 16 in mothercare, but I was really disappointed in the fabric quality of the clothes. Everything felt quite cheap/thin, so I'm not sure I'll be ordering much from them. The big Next didn't have any maternity clothes at all, which is a pain as my size in Next is really variable so would have liked to try on a few bits to get a feel for the maternity sizing. Wasn't planning on buying anything anyway, just a bit of research while I was over in MK (our town has no decent shops!)
On the way home I passed a big mamas and papas shop, so may go there in a few weeks to check out my size. Waistbands on jeans and skirts are getting uncomfortably tight, although luckily I have lots of dresses for the spring so should be able to get by for a while longer.Little monkey born November 2012:jFroglet due March 20160
