argh, just had to run to the bathroom at work and throw up
I was feeling fine until about 30 seconds before, bit worried that if it happens again and I'm further away from the loos I wouldn't make it
Luckily no one saw me, and the loos were empty!
I took all my tablets just before my breakfast, not sure now whether I'll have absorbed them or notLittle monkey born November 2012:jFroglet due March 20160 -
Morning ladies
Cleofish, I would love a little kangaroo pouch to look in on baby too :rotfl::rotfl: Would be so nice to know whats going on in there and be reassured at times. I try not to worry too much about anything going wrong - but there is always the 'what ifs' that go round your head. I'm trying to enjoy the pregnancy tho - so I don't want to be wishing my time away waiting for the scan. DH says this will be our last baby (he is wrong about that tho;):rotfl:) so I shouldn't spend my time worrying, I should enjoy it.
Hope your OH's mum is ok. With my pregnancy with DD I used to hate evening meals, as I never fancied anything, and then even if I did fancy something by the the time I had cooked it I had gone right off it. I remember my ex taking me out for tea one night cos I said I thought it was cos I was cooking that the smells were putting me off - and I ordered lasagne which I love. And when it came out I poked at it and couldn't eat much so my ex ended up having mine as well as his :rotfl: I found that if I didn't let myself get too hungry, I was soooo much better, as then I could fancy something to eat and I didn't get myself in that bad pattern. My sickness hasn't kicked in yet this time round - but I read somewhere that its most likely to kick in from 6weeks+
Littlemoog - yay for new brasMaternity clothes do vary so much, so I would defo say you will need to try some on nearer the time you need them. I dug mine out from my last pregnancy, and there are a lot of jeans in there and I now hardly wear jeans. I also used to be slimmer before I was pregnant with DD, so most of the clothes are a 10 - 12 and now I am well into 14's - sometimes 16's. I tried some on, and some of the 12's fit now, but obviously when I get a bump they aren't going to still fit. My plan is to wear leggins and tunics and dresses throughout summer which will be in my earlier stages of pregnancy, and then move on to maternity gear after that. I mostly wear things like that now anyway, and a lot that I already have are stretchy or have growing room in, so hoping I will be ok for a few months.

That's kinda true Moneypenny, if I feel sick I can normally stop it by taking deep breaths but if I start wretching I have got no hope and end up being sick
OH had to pull over the other day so i could throw door open and vomit
We pick up the keys to our new house todayIt's in a different district so I need to register with a new doctor and a new midwife.
You never know how strong you are until being strong is the only choice you have.

LittleMoog - I'm not certain if this is true (I've tried it and it worked) but someone once told me if you feel sick and concentrate on taking very deep, slow breaths, it's physically impossible to be sick at the same time as breathing (which should buy you some time to get to the loo!). I think once you feel sick there is a (natural) tendency to panic but if you can think "hang on a minute, deep breaths all the way to the loo and I'll be ok" and tell yourself the calmer you remain the better you will be then it can help. It helps for me, I've got a very nasty stomach condition which means I'm regularly sick and once I'd heard that, if I felt sick I would try to remain calm and "breathe it out" until I was in a zone of safety (aka the loo!). It may not work, but worth a go!
Not much use on the motorway! Sandwich bags all the way... the number of times I've thrown up into a Waitrose sandwich bag nestling between my thighs...."Growth for growth's sake is the ideology of the cancer cell" - Edward Abbey.0 -

Yup, I started carrying sandwich bags in my handbag for impromptu sick bags brought on by early morning bus journeys. Eugh.0 -
Hello all!
I just stopped by to catch up with the thread and say 'I'll see you all soon' as I've realised I'm 12+2 so need to move on to the other thread. Will keep an eye on this thread still, but probably only through dailies.
Before I go: welcome to moneypennyand, on the subject of flying, it's fine up to 36 weeks although I wouldn't risk it that far into the pregnancy myself. I've flown four times already (two returns) with no problems, just make sure you tell airport security when you're going through so you can skip the metal detector. I normally tell them as I'm placing my bits on the xray trays and ask if I can be patted down instead so they don't think I'm avoiding security altogether. Bare in mind that chances are you'll be patted down! I think they can use the portable detector (although i'm not 100% if this is safe - airport staff told me it was).

Morning all
Bikelesschick, congrats on moving over! Hope to see you in 4 weeks or so!
I was sick at bedtime last night, brought up all my dinnerMost unpleasant, and then I woke up at 2am starving and tossed and turned for the rest of the night. Hoping not to be sick as much today, am trying a different breakfast in the hope it will sit better. Feeling pretty grim at the moment, but I often feel nauseous when I'm overtired, so hoping it's just that.
DH's dad rang last night - he's skiing with one of DH's uncles, and something uncle said made him think that he knew we're pg, and that Grandma had told him. We haven't told grandma yet, as we didn't want her to know if we had a miscarriage, but it looks like there may be a leak somewhere in the family! FIL was going to investigate further so we can ring and officially tell Grandma if she's already heard, as she'll be upset with us for leaving her out. Of course it could all be speculation based on a passing comment - DH told his stepsister a few weeks ago because something she said made him think that she already knew, but she didn't! He was just on the alert for all things baby! :rotfl:Little monkey born November 2012:jFroglet due March 20160 -
Why does 12 weeks take so long???
I'm 7 weeks today and having my booking appt this Friday but my scan feels like forever away...:jBaby Boy born December 20120 -
I know, I feel like I've been pg forever already, and I'm only 8+2! I did find out at 3+4 though, which is super early.
We had our booking appointment last week which made the whole thing seem very real/scary for a few days. Feeling better about it now though, and have finally finished reading all the leaflets they gave us!Little monkey born November 2012:jFroglet due March 20160
