Thanks for the suggestion cleo, I'm 6+3, had a few sicky feelings before, but this was full on retching :( did go away as soon as I forced a biscuit down, so will just have one first thing tomorrow!

got my booking in appointment through for next Friday, when i'll be 7+5. Still no sign of a consultant appointment about my thyroid condition though. DH is off on Friday so he's going to come too :)

  • flutter-by - I don't think your eating was as bad as you make it to be!

Mine is getting better. I had some toast and jam (ok, 2 small toasts and jam!) for breakie, an apple for snack, then a southern fried chicken drumstick and pecan pastry from Mr. T for lunch (not healthy but I was out and starving), 2 cheese strings for snack and rice and chicken for dinner.

I reckon I'll be back to normal eating in a couple of days. Can't wait! I'm worried I'm not providing enough nutrients... how do our bodies cope when women feel sick all the time and barely eat I wonder?

I've had to change my booking appt +scan to next Monday. I'm quite angry I had to change it as I had to cancel the dentist which I really need to go to, but a bit scared as well. Will I need to tell them what tests I want then? I just haven't got a clue.

    Morning Ladies,

I'm awake so early, not sure how I will get through the day. Yesterday was the same and I kept yawning all day :(. I had period pains yesterday all day, was so scared that I MC but I think it's just the uterus stretching? Anyone had the same?

I eat too much tbh. Thankfully my BMI is 22 but it's because I snack all day than miss the main meals. I need to concentrate on eating mains and not snack as much though it's harder to say it than do it.

Bikeless they will explain all the tests to you Hun x

Kavics aches and pains are fine hun. It's just stretching etc.

I've just made an emergency docs appointment as feel like I've got a stomach bug. I feel like you do when you have sickness and diawoowoo where your insides feel like a washing machine and it's uncomfy and a bit painful at times. Haven't been sick but am wretching lots and can't go to toilet for a number 2. I've had lots of problems with my digestive system in the past so thought it best to get checked out x

Sorry to hear you've got a dodgy tum Ikkle, hope the GP can suggest something. It's uncomfortable when you constantly feel like you may need to run to the loo!

So so tired this morning, went up to bed a bit later than normal and was woken up by a coughing fit at about 130 :( Then DH elbowed me in the face at about 430! Pesky husband :rotfl:

Remembered to eat as soon as I got downstairs this morning, and no sickness :j I'm off v early tomorrow morning to a hen weekend in Bath, we're getting the train there and I'm a bit worried about feeling ill on the train - I've always suffered really badly with travel sickness.

  • Thanks ikkle. I hope you get your tummy probs sorted.

Oh, LittleMoog! I totally sympathise with you at times like this. I constantly get pushed, elbowed, etc through the night! I'm off to a hen do this weekend too :) last time I was travel sick (in a plane!), the cabin crew told me that we're less likely to get travel sickness when we've had plenty of sleep and have eaten well. They also said that, if you start feeling sick, try to get some sleep (may not be feasible if not a long journey) and have so ice/cold drinks. They definitely work when not pregnant. May also work when pregnant? Have a lovely time :)

    Hello ladies :j

Finally plucked up the courage to start posting on this thread now!! It's so lovely to see some more names i recognise from the TTC thread, congrats to all you lovely ladies.

Today I am 6+3 I think. Went to see my doctor last week and he said he couldn't really do much for me just to tell me to book my booking in appointment for 9weeks and that he's very happy for me! We talked about my weight as well becuase that's always been my issue and I feel that's my biggest worry. I am about 5'9 and 17 stone, have no idea what that BMI is but I know it's bad. He said I may have to see a consultant in between my MW appointments but she will decide that.

We have told our parents and my work but that's it. I'm having a really really hard time being calm about everything. I'v become irrational, moody and just plain horrible! I honestly don't know why, well I do, but wish I could be this lovely glowing mummy to be. All i seem to do at the moment is worry that it may not last, I really don't know why because this is my first pregnancy but I just keep finding myself saying "If this does last..." Why can't I just be happy? My mum has taken to ringing me everyday to try and help but i'm still just really scared. OH tries his best but some days im just inconsolable. I just have to try and hold it for my booking in appt which is 16th April then i will definately talk to the MW about these feelings. :o

Have been having lots of symptoms! The days I don't feel anything I do start to worry though, honestly every day is just a panic for me. I'm normally fine in the mornings, very constipated though! Get to work and I do have a few waves of nausea then throughout the day get a lot of period type pains down low, then around 3pm I just get whacked with nausea I havent been sick yet touch wood, but it's always just as i'm about to get on the bus, doh!

I think one of my main problems is I work closely with one of my best friends and she's 16 weeks pregnant, everybody knows shes pg so everybody is saying to me "oh you have to help her CherryDrop because she's pregnant she can't pick that up! you let her go for a rest and you finish that!" I just want to scream sometimes. Im in a position of management so have told my management team but not the advisors yet. I know it's my choice and I could tell everybody if I wanted too but if anything does go wrong I don't want to have to tell a million people.

Sorry ladies this is one big whinge but that's all I seem to do at the moment, I'm just a big whinger!

littlemoog- good luck with your booking in appointment, first step to getting the ball rolling.

kavics17- im the same with cramps and pains, trying to think of it as just stretching pains (as that happens a lot at the beginning) and trying not to worry too much, trying to think whether i worry or not i cant change the outcome if anything happens but whenever i sneeze at the minute i have pains afterwards, so not sure what is going on down there either. :(

ikkle87- sorry to hear your having a rough time with your tummy, hopefully docs will be able to sort it for you and you will feel more comfy.

cherrydrop- i think its natural to worry whether you have had anything happen in the past or not, perhaps its just your body response to protect your feelings in case anything happens. Once you get your booking in appointment and scans rolling you can look forward to those and hopefully they will leave you feeling more reassured, try and think positive thoughts perhaps get a expecting book maybe and have a little read. But your not alone in worrying i think its part of the course with pregnancy another thing to look forward to :)

hoping everyone is having a good day.

just got a question, wondering if anyone can give any advice.
We havent told any of our family and ive got a big family meal coming up where normally i would have something to drink but wont be at this one.

Not sure how i can get around the not drinking, normally people buy one another rounds and i think people will question why im not drinking, im thinking maybe something like antibiotics? ive got more family birthdays coming up before the 12 week mark so going to have to think about those as well, i hate not saying but i know its the right thing at the minute.
What are you ladies doing for your hen weekends, do all the hens already know?

Ok a day or 2 before the meal mention to one of the people going that you feel rough, your throat is really sore and scratchy, your going to make a doctors appointment because you want to make sure you are fit and well for the meal, then you are on antibiotics cos you've got a throat infection, you don't want to drink because otherwise they won't work and the throat was really sore and you've got a lot on at work etc in the next few days and can't afford to be ill.
