I'm 9+5 and dying to tell people, My boss knows as he is a close friend and the parents know. I'm having to lie about stuff at work cause if i tell the truth they will find out. We are going to tell people after by 12 week scan.
We were surpose to be going to a wedding in cyprus in August, but obviously i cant go, I'll be 28 weeks and might be ok, but really think it would be uncomfy for me. OH is now going (his brothers wedding) and taking DD with him, I originally said to go for the weekend, but he has booked for the week
I think i'll be fine without OH but i'll miss DD so much

Hi everyone! May I join you?
Love reading about your scans, it seems so far off for me though!
I found out on Sunday so I'm only 4 weeks. I couldn't resist telling my Mum as it was Mothers Day, she was over the moon.
I'm really excited and really terrified!!0 -
Congratulations ilovecushions - so pleased it has happened for you. Officially I shouldn't be on this thread, but I'm still lurking here and on ttc. Best of luck with your pregnancy, and feel free to ask any questions as there are loads of ladies on here who give excellent advice.Enjoy the little things, for one day you may look back and realize they were the big things.I married Moon 8/4/2011, baby boy born 26/9/2012, Angel Baby Poppy born 8/11/15, Rainbow baby boy born 11/2/20170

So far we've told our parents, and my brother and his fiance, as we were seeing them last weekend. They asked outright when we're going to have a baby, and I'm rubbish at lying. I have sworn them to secrecy though
We'll probably let the rest of our siblings (4 sisters for me, 2 brothers and step sister for DH) know around 10 weeks, as that's when all my sisters have told us.
We have 2 close sets of friends getting married this year and I have 2 hen weekends the next 2 weeks, so we're going to tell our close group of friends then (5 couples). we'd want their support if anything did go wrong anyway and we all talk about everything, so keeping a secret feels so unnatural
We're going to ask them not to make any comments etc online though, we don't want our broader acquaintance to know until after the scan.
I've also had to tell 3 people at work and the occ health department, as I've had to make lots of changes to the type of thing I'm doing and it's affected some of the projects I'm working on.
So actually we're not doing well at keeping it quiet at all! So excited though, I thought I was doing well not to blurt it out to all my sisters at home on Sunday :rotfl:Little monkey born November 2012:jFroglet due March 2016

I'd been tracking my calories and dieting for about 6 months prior to falling pregnant, so I've had to increase the amount I eat by about 750 calories a day  I'm being quite careful, as I don't want to slip back into the old habits of large portions/unhealthy choices. I have added a snack when I get home from work though, as I'm starving all the time and I get home about 1.5 hours before DH

Today looks like this:
Breakfast: fruit corner yoghurt, 20g granola, 5 dried apricots, 2 satsumas
Lunch: cheese salad sandwich, wotsits, clementines and an apple
Snack: 0.5pt milk, 2 hobnobs
Dinner: quiche, saute potatoes, cous cous salad (all leftovers from Mothers Day lunch)
something for pudding - either a yoghurt or a scoop of ice creamLittle monkey born November 2012:jFroglet due March 2016

yep, I've had lots of weird random feelings. Apparently it's your uterus beginning to stretch out. I keep getting a shooting pain up the front of my tummy when I stand up, which is apparently ligaments stretching.Little monkey born November 2012:jFroglet due March 2016

Stretchy, achey pains are completely normal ilovecushions, as the ligaments are all stretching as the size of your womb increases. You will also be getting a lot more blood vessels etc forming down there too, so if you start noticing that your legs are getting more veins at the tops of them, this is normal too. If you get any bleeding accompanied by pains though, please consult your doctor. It's fairly normal to get spotting around the time AF would have been due (or in my case at around 6 weeks - had an early scan at this point at early pregnancy unit), but it's best to get it checked out so that they can rule out an ectopic pregnancy or early miscarriage. Don't want to rain on your parade, but just be aware in case.Enjoy the little things, for one day you may look back and realize they were the big things.I married Moon 8/4/2011, baby boy born 26/9/2012, Angel Baby Poppy born 8/11/15, Rainbow baby boy born 11/2/20170
