Sounds like your hormones are floating very near the surface Kitten, that's probably why the tears are on a hair trigger. Another vote for posting how you feel, this is hopefully a safe outlet for feelings and concerns. We will all celebrate with you when things turn out ok xxDon't suffer alone - if you are experiencing Domestic Abuse contact the National Domestic Abuse Helplines

Kitten Pie, dont ever feel bad about the way you feel. Ifeel the same. I am trying not to think about stuff but just feel like its all going to go wrong. Am on knicker watch constantly and have booked a private scan but still feel its going to be bad news. Its all natural what you are going through, especially with what you have gone through at such a late stage x0

((hugs)) kitten, just wanted to reiterate what the others have said. It's understandable after all you've been through that you will feel emotional about the situation. Hormone whizzing around certainly won't help.
You shouldn't feel bad about posting how you feel here, that's what the thread is for.

Morning everyone!
OH will be telling his best mate and his brother that we're having a baby today. Once they both know, it's no longer a 'secret' even though it's been the worst kept secret I've ever had I'll be relieved when it's out in the open :j
OH's brother lives on the other side of the world, and the only way to phone him is mobile to mobile which runs into ridiculous money even for about 10 minutes. He doesn't have skype, so we're thinking of sending him a picture message of the scan photo, with something lke 'Hello Uncle .... and Auntie .....'
Had a lovely surprise last night, logged into online banking and have had a PPI refund that will cover the work we need to do to the house before baby arrives, and allow us to choose the pram we really want rather than whatever we can find second hand. We hadn't had any correspondence at all from the bank in question, so I'm checking it out today as I don't know if they've paid off themselves first (loan was in arrears) or if we need to pay them what's left out of what we had. Hope it's the first one!!!
I hope everyone is feeling ok, and hugs to those who are a bit down and worried about things. I'll be moving over to the next thread in the next couple of days, but in case I forget to say it before I go, thank you from the bottom of my heart to everyone who posts on here. I couldn't have kept sane during the first 12 weeks without you. When I first realised I was expecting I joined netm*ms and bo*nty sites, but have found the real support and expertise here. MSE's definitely do it better :rotfl:Don't suffer alone - if you are experiencing Domestic Abuse contact the National Domestic Abuse Helplines

Thanks all for the kind words, really does help.
Shell_girl that's exciting, can he not download skype on his phone/laptop? PPI refund is great news, what a wonderful time to receive it!

Hey ladies,
I'm going to burst if I dont tell someone soon!
Just found out I'm 2-3 weeks pregnant about 4 hours ago! We've been trying for a year, and its typical that the month I quit my job and start an agency one with a 10 month contract I fall pregnant! And we also have a holiday to Tenerife booked in the last week of September!
We are both so excited, dont know how we are going to keep quiet!0 -
Congratulations MrsDavo - don't worry too much about the holiday - we met a couple when we were on honeymoon whose baby was due about 3 weeks after they were there. The only thing to be aware of is apparently your skin is more sensitive to sunlight (more sunscreen needed), and you may have to check with the airline that they are happy to let you fly (you may need a doctor's note). I work for an agency too, and my midwife said it's likely that I will only be entitled to maternity allowance. She did say that I may be entitled to a Sure Start grant too and to ask at the job centre for information.Enjoy the little things, for one day you may look back and realize they were the big things.I married Moon 8/4/2011, baby boy born 26/9/2012, Angel Baby Poppy born 8/11/15, Rainbow baby boy born 11/2/20170

Thanks sexymouse. I've checked with the airline this morning and they accept you upto the end of the 36th week with a doctors note. So we should be okay!
I've also checked and I will be entitled to Maternity allowance, which is fine for us as I only work part time anyway.
I'll have to have a look into the sure start grant but my fella may earn too much. I'm going to phone my gp monday as I was put on antidepressants 4 weeks ago.x0 -

Congratulatuons and welcome.
I'm being made redundant in 5 weeks so I will also be doing agency work (hopefully I can find some) and will only qualify for SMA. It's going to be a bit tight but DH earns a decent wage so we should be ok.
I have my mum's wedding to go to, a 90 mile car journey away, just over a week before my EDD.

Hey ladies. Hope everyone's ok. I'm 12 + 2 today so time to head over to the other thread. We bought our first bits today using the Boots parenting club vouchers. Because of the 3 for 2 we got £50+ stuff for £11. Well chuffed!
Hope to see you all on the other thread soon!0
