Less than 12 weeks pregnant club! 2

Great news on the scan T-Sil - pleased they detected a heartbeat and everything looks normal.
hayley the pregnancy book I have said it's perfectly normal to have a bit of spotting after having sex, and some people get cramping too, especially if they orgasm.
Had my booking in appointment yesterday - all went well - had 5 vials of blood taken this time around - worked out this morning that this means in the last 4 weeks, I've had 10 vials taken from me. The midwife seems lovely - I've decided to go for the scan and test to see our risk of spina bifida and Down's Syndrome, as Moon's sister died 2 days after birth as she had spina bifida. This means another blood test when we go for our 12 week scan as the HcG levels will be higher if spinal fluid has leaked (spina bifida).
Had to rush off to pick up some children from school afterwards, and didn't get a chance to eat or drink anything in between, so was feeling a bit wobbly. As I was meant to be babysitting in the evening too, they said there was no point in me going home, and that I should make myself something there. I've decided that pasta and cheese sauce is just too rich for me at the moment, as I ended up feeling extremely sick for the rest of the night. The parents didn't get home til 11.35pm, and I could barely keep my eyes open. I got home at about 11.50 and was horribly sick. Unfortunately, most of the food had digested, so I ended up gagging, and bringing up a tiny bit of what looked like blood (think I burst some blood vessels in my throat). It was the worst experience I've had with sickness, and I feel like I have a massive hangover today. I've more attractive burst blood vessels on my eyelids and around my eyes now too.
Well I've got to go with my Mum now to talk to my Nana about going into a home. I'm not looking forward to it.
Hugs for all who need or want them, and sorry for moaning.
Fingers crossed for anyone having scans today.

Yep and they said no because they could give me a scan one day and the baby could still die the next day but if i wait till my 12 week scan and the baby is fine theres very little chance of anything going wrong after that. That was their words too
, I don't like my GP very much
thats why I said I wish I had money for a private scan x

Oh that's terrible! In my area if you have had two or more mcs they will scan you every 2/3 weeks in the first trimester for reassurance. Every woman who has had a missed mc knows that an early scan is no guarantee but it does help to reduce the stress levels, which can only be a good thing.
I'm sorry your GP is so rubbish! It makes me cross when people are so insensitive. I understand that scans cost money and so they don't want to do them unnecessarily but your GP could have at least put it a bit more tactfully.

Hello ladies
Also keeping my head down until 12 weeks, as am so nervous about something going wrong
Have got my first appointment with the midwife on Monday morning so I'm looking forward to that. I'll be 7 weeks and 4 days, so expect she is going to take blood. I am SUCH a chicken at having needles. Ive not had blood taken since I had Glandular Fever at 16. I'm now 26 and I still dont think I'm over the last injection haha! Am ridiculously nervous! :eek:0 -
Girls, did you all get an Emma's diary pack when you went to the doctor?
I got one last time but not this time. Is it worth getting one? I can't remember...do they have lots of vouchers/offers?

I remember not being impressed with it last time but loads of people were raving about them so if you get offered it there is no harm in accepting. I think you can also apply for them online.Overdraft = £1000 Emergency fund = £2500

I'm holding off applying for anything this time. I still have all the freebies from last time and don't think I can handle putting more things into storage should things go wrong.
The only thing I will need to get is girls clothes if it is a girl and a pram. However I won't purchase a pram until after the baby is born. It was too hard having to get a refund for the pram to pay for the funeral last time especially when I had spent months researching the right one.
Sorry for the negative post just feeling really negative and teary at the moment.Overdraft = £1000 Emergency fund = £2500
