Hi everyone
So pleased I found this thread. I'm all over the place! Did a test this morning as AF almost two weeks overdue and got a BFP. I couldn't stop shaking and went to tell OH who is now walking around grinning like a cheshire cat, bless him. We only just started TTC and I'm almost 39 so thought it was maybe a long shot. Now feeling like rug has been completely pulled from under me and veering between feeling absolutely delighted, to feeling like the test might be faulty, to feeling absolutely terrified! Scared to get too excited as it's so early... I guess I'm almost 6 weeks? Yikes!£2 savers challenge:dance:£152/£200:naughty:Still trying to pay off my CC

Congratulations Mrs Davo! I don't have any holidays booked but my brother is getting married two weeks before my due date so I'm hoping baby doesn't decide to put in an appearance during the reception!
Welcome and congratulation to you too izzydogsam. During the very early weeks (I'll be 12 weeks on Monday) I had times when I felt completely terrified too. Even though we had been trying and it was what we both wanted I started having proper attacks of anxiety. My heart would start racing and all I could think was "oh my god, what have we done!". Accordingy to my pregnancy book that's completely normal though and I'm glad to say those feelings have gone away now. So don't worry if your emotions are swinging all over the place at the moment, it's to be expected.0 -
Congratulations Izzy!
Thank you very much ladies!
I have hardly slept all night, I still can't believe it! We both have a child from previous relationships, both girls. Mine will be 5 next month and his 3 the month after, I've ALWAYS wanted a brother or sister for my little one now she is going to have 2. I think I'm still I'm shock lol
Even though I've been through one pregnancy before, it wasn't like this. I was 18 and at the time neither of us actually had wanted to be parents. The pill slipped up! I got my head around it eventually and I loved every minute of being pregnant ( I was 3 months before I even found out) and she's been my blessing ever since.
But this time I'm ecstatic, we both wanted this so much, we'd been trying almost a year, and it's a completely different feeling than the first time.
I just want to shout it out and tell everyone how happy we are! Lol0 -
hi everyone.
Hope everyone is doing ok, and welcome to all the new people
After going to the doctors on wednesday and him telling me to ring the EPD to book an early scan. I rang them Thursday morning for them to tell me the doctor had to refer me, so had to ring the doctor and have a phone consulation with him asking him to fax the department. (Very Annoying) I rang the EPD on Friday to check if they have received the referral and they have but the woman who does the early scans isnt in till Tues and she will ring me then. So fingers crossed i get the call, hopefully i should get my bookng appointment as well soon.
I just want to make sure everything is ok this time.
On a bad note, we are having to tell OH brother that we cant go to his wedding in August. They are getting married in cyprus, which has annoyed us anyway as we have to try and find the money to go and take holiday around them. I'll be 28 weeks by then and i know you can fly, but you need a letter from the midwive/doctor to confirm and we dont know what will happens, so dont want to pay all that money to lose it. I think OH will take DD over for the weekend if it works out not too expensive.Mummy to Isabella - March 2008 and Daisie - September 2012:A - November 2011 (mc)0 -

Morning

Welcome and congratulations to the new people. Hop on the rollercoaster!
Nothing much going on with me, I'm 7 weeks today. I feel ok, no major symptoms, just boobs are fuller/slightly tender and i feel very slightly queasy. It goes if I eat something though.
I do feel a bit calmer and more positive after the early scan last Thurs, but i can feel the worry start to creep back in! Trying my hardest to stay positive though.
Hope you all have a good Sunday!

This made me :rotfl:so thank you so much! I walked around all day yesterday saying "what have we done" to the OH!
Thanks everyone for the lovely welcome too. It's so nice to be able to talk about it, as we're obv not saying anything to anyone yet, but my head is an absolute shed at the moment. So many thoughts flying round, bursting into tears inappropriately
etc! Quite funny really

Can i join in please. Did a test today because i was about due for my period and got a BFP so think that makes me about 4 weeks? Will be my third. DD is 14 and DS is 6 but will be 7 when baby is due so will have a nice 7 year gap between them all, everything going well!0
