Congratulations on your scan Elelyn - glad it all went well, even if you did need a wee. I had a look in our local Mothercare at the weekend, but I guess our branch doesn't have maternity wear, as apart from a couple of bras, I couldn't find anything.
I think I need to plan a big trip to a big city to look for some, as my town, although it has most stores, doesn't seem to have anything - even the Topshop doesn't have maternity in it. Enjoy the little things, for one day you may look back and realize they were the big things.I married Moon 8/4/2011, baby boy born 26/9/2012, Angel Baby Poppy born 8/11/15, Rainbow baby boy born 11/2/20170 -
Thanks sexymouse. I think I'm lucky because we have a huge Mothercare World store nearby and they have a nice selection of clothing. All the other shops are pants though - the ones that do stock maternity wear have tiny little sections with hardly any choice. It makes me wonder where all the stylish looking pregnant women I seem to see everywhere get their clothes from!0

Those New Loook Bump bands looks ok - think I might have to get some
Yesterday walking round Ikea I caught sight of myself in one of the bathroom showrooms mirrors and oh my goodness I look huge - so round and bump-like, and I'm only 7 weeks. Got to remind myself its wind, not baby!
Still feeling very hurt by my best friend who since I told her 2 weeks ago hasn't even acknowledged my pregnancy or asked how I am feeling. When I told her I was feeling really tired, she just scoffed and said 'already?!' and that was it. I don't know why she can't be more excited. Another friend thinks she might be jealous, but I can honestly say even if I was totally jealous, I would at leats pretend to be happy for her. I feel gutted really. I always thought she would be by my side. Never mind
On to better things. I had my first appointment with the midwife this morning and and to my huge relief she was absolutely lovely, totally understood that I am scared of needles and was so gentle and jokey with me that she really put me at ease. She acknowledged my partner too who was with me, as opposed to my doctor who just ignored him! And she congratulated us too. Do pleased to have a good one
My actual Booking In Appointment is on Wed 28th March when I have to take along a urine sample, won't have any more blood taken (yay!) and it will just be a lot of paperwork. I'll be 12 weeks at that point.
Following that I will have my dating scan (combined with the nucheal fold scan) and some more blood taken as part of the Downs test!
OH has texted me today saying how excited he is after this morning and how it all seems more real now! I feel the same. Can't wait to finally have a scan, but seems I wont have that until I'm at least 13/14 weeks. Is that normal?
Hope you're all feeling dandy! Feeling really upbeat about things today :T0 -
Hi ladies, I have had major issues with uncomfy work trousers today so was just looking at buying some maternity ones. Popped on to the New Look site and they have a massive maternity sale (wasn't like this yesterday). Mostly tops but I've just ordered 7 tops, the bump bands (thanks to who suggested them!) and 2 work trousers for £87 with free next day delivery which I am chuffed about so you might all want to have a browse!0

Excellent tip on the New Look sale thanks bellola. Funnily enough I was in there on Saturday and I bought a pair of skinny jeans but wanted a pair of bootcut as well. Grabbed my bootcut and a dress for £22, bargain thank you :-DDon't suffer alone - if you are experiencing Domestic Abuse contact the National Domestic Abuse Helplines

Oops. Went back in to the New Look sale and grabbed a load more stuff. Not technically moneysaving... however I did use my OH's bank card instead of my own, so really I've just saved myself nearly £50.
Hmmm, tempted to go back on there and save myself even more money:rotfl:Don't suffer alone - if you are experiencing Domestic Abuse contact the National Domestic Abuse Helplines
