I think it will be great. If this baby is early they would be in the same class
Have you read the TTC thread recently? They were discussing that some women have a hyper fertile month per year which is why many siblings have birthdays close together.Overdraft = £1000 Emergency fund = £2500

Welcome little_miss_moneysaver and bikelesschick. Good to have you on board
Thanks for everyone support about my unsupportive friend. She is planning her wedding at the minute (for June 2012) and to be honest mostly seems annoyed by the fact I am going to have a 20 week bump in her photos (I'm one of the 4 bridesmaids). The thing is the four of us look so different anyway (height, weight, skin colour) that i dont think an extra bump will make much difference but that seems to be the source of all this. To feel that your friend doesn't want you in her wedding photos isn't nice but hey ho never mind ey? She'll have to get over it.
Just a quick one - the only thing that would sort my sickness out last night was prawn crackers. They contain shellfish Aggggh! What have I done? Having major panic now! :eek:0 -
Hadn't even thought about prawn crackers so don't panic. Shellfish is a worry mainly because of bacteria the amount of processing that goes into prawn crackers should get rid of that. (I would think)
I was 29weeks pregnant with twins at my BF wedding and I was maid of honour. I did give her the option of having someone else there but she was adamant that she wanted me. I could barely walk at that point and had to delegate all my duties but went well. Sounds like she is becoming bridezilla and doesn't want anyone taking away her spotlight on the day.Overdraft = £1000 Emergency fund = £2500

i'm not sure about dates, i'm in no rush to get it confirmed by the doctor yet, i'll get round to it soon i suppose, i know i'm under 8 weeks but i wont know for sure til i get booked in and go for the 12 week scan.Skint, but happy (ish):p0

Thank you for the welcomes
and congrats bikeless chick!
Just back from the midwife now. She was very nice and explained things in simple language. GP took my bp and weight last week so she didn't redo them. Also was too late for blood test as it's at the GP surgery so bloods are collected at 4pm and it would be after then. So I need to venture to the antenatal clinic at the hospital - bit scary! Got my bounty folder and the voucher for the freebies and lots of other coupons for things.
Hopefully the scan date will be posted soon to me aswell as an appointment with an obstetrician so seems like it'll be very busy with midwife/GP appt every four weeks too. Are others having this many appts? My friend who is 22 weeks has seen her GP once and midwife twice only.
Still very nervous about it all to be honest and what to expect. We've not told many ppl as yet, just a couple of close friends, our parents and bosses. We're thinking of waiting for the scan before we say anything, but it's so hard not to blab it! It's all we can think about really:j Baby boy arrived 22nd August 2012 :j

Thank you for the welcome. Also thanks to Kitten_Pie for the link. That was really helpful! I'm still going through all the info there. I've used the EDD calculator and it puts me on 7 weeks:eek: but I'm guessing it'll all become a bit clearer as time passes by.
I've registered with the GP today and I'm seeing the nurse tomorrow for a new patient appointment. I told them about the BFP and they were quite excited, bless them!
Congrats to you too little_miss_moneysaver! It sounds like your appt went really wellI can't give much advice I'm afraid as it's my first but I'd imagine that we'll learn more as we go along

well i've managed to get an early scan on 14th march, i'll be 8+6 weeks. Strange thing is i got a phone call from the midwife about my booking appointmenr today, they said they wont book me in till after the scan, and i should ring her on the day of my scan and tell her how many week they said i am. I told her i was 7 weeks tomorrow but she just said ring me after the scan. It seems very strange .Mummy to Isabella - March 2008 and Daisie - September 2012:A - November 2011 (mc)0

snowy, it may be because some mw don't do the booking appointment until a certain time generally 8-10weeks. I had mine yesterday when I thought I was 11+4 but am actually 10+3. Dates are also likely to change at the scan which is why she wants those dates. Annoying but I can see where they are coming from.Overdraft = £1000 Emergency fund = £2500
