Big Fat Positive on a pregnancy test!!

Congrats LittleMoog, I'm sure I remember snooping on you in waiting to ttc thread when I joined the trying for a baby thread and was hoping my husband would be persuaded to wait until we were a little more financially sound! It sounds like you did it a good way, coming off birth control early enough to get cycles in check before you worried. We caught second month off pill so I know what you mean about dazed feeling - I still get it now when I have time to breathe.

jules, thank you for letting us know. I hope this isn't your last shot and the docs can now advise you a little better. praying you and your hubby have some breathing and healing space together.

In an odd way I miss you all on this thread as you talk a lot more but I'm happy to have reached 15 wks so you'll just have to put up with me hi-jacking/lurking on the thread :D

    (((hugs))) to all x

    Hello everyone,
I got my bfp a few weeks ago now, have had a scan and seen the heart beat and I am 8 weeks today :)) I'm sure that is open to change when I have my dating scan. I see my midwife a week today and will hopefully get a scan through before we go away for April to Florida. I have booked a private screening test so will 100% know alls ok before we leave, that's my current fear :(( even when I've seen the heartbeat.
Looking forward to a healthy sticky pregnancy and wishing you all the same.

Oh this is my 2nd I have a 5 year old son who is my world.

Wow there's lots of lovely new people on the thread - congratulations on all of your BFPs and welcome to the thread.

Big hugs for Jules - I'm so sorry to hear about your miscarriage. Take care of yourself, and you can always PM me if you want to. x

:hello:student_Mrs - how's everything going? Not long til you'll officially be a teacher and a Mummy all at once hey? Lovely to see you dropping in still. We miss you too.

moneypuddle I would have thought that your midwife would book your scan etc for you - mine is doing mine for me. I suppose it may differ from area to area, but I've never heard of people having to book their own Down's tests etc unless they are paying privately for them. As others have said though, it can't hurt to just confirm it with your midwife. I sympathise with the fear of needles.

Well I've noticed for the past couple of nights that I've managed to pretty much sleep through without waking up, and I've not had to go to the loo in the night either. I'm hoping this is a good thing, as according to my emails etc, I should be 10 weeks now (the scan moved me back 3 days though, so I'm not counting myself as 10 weeks until Monday just in case). I've still not received my scan date through the post yet, so hoping it arrives tomorrow, as my booking in appointment was nearly 2 weeks ago, so I need something to keep me going as time seems to be going very slowly! Is it bad that I'm impatient at such an early stage?

I watched one born every minute last night, and felt really sorry for the poor Russian/Lithuanian husband Victor. He seemed so sweet as well.

Been working all day today, and will be in the same class again tomorrow, and I'm quite impressed by how full of energy I still seem to be. They've got PE tomorrow (Egyptian dance - should be fun ;)), so I must remember to take some trainers with me too, as there's no way I'm taking my shoes off in the hall after they've eaten lunch! :rotfl:

Well I suppose I'd better go and make my packed lunch ready for tomorrow so that I don't have to go to the shop and buy a sandwich again. :money:

Hugs to all who need or want them.

    sexymouse xx

    Hello all,

I'm off work today and tomorrow so I've been trying to keep myself busy so I've cleaned the kitchen (cupboards, hob, fridge, tiles), vacuumed downstairs and finished knitting my second set of booties. I'd thought I'd share them with you as we haven't told anyone yet about the baby and my DH just doesn't get excited enough about cute little baby things for my liking ;)A287898A.jpg

The wool is a nice mix of colours so I think they'll suit either a boy or girl :) They are only the second knitting project I've finished some don't think they're too bad but hopefully I'll get better the more I practice :o

Thanks happy. I'm going to do a few more pairs then maybe attempt a hat or two. Although that maybe a bit adventurous for my skill level :p

  • emsbet - those booties are really cute! I'm really impressed with your abilities (I only got as far as knitting a scarf as a teen!).

I went to see the nurse at the practice today to register. Can't say it was the most productive use of my time as she didn't really give me any advice on being pregnant but at least I'm getting referred to the mw.

I've been feeling very poorly today, full of a cold so I'm just going to bed now and rest lots tomorrow.

    Good night all!
