Morning ladies

I got my BFP this morning! So excited, though feel a little dazed/shocked as we'd not been trying long and I'd prepared myself for it taking ages!

No major symptoms yet, little bit of indigestion and incredibly swollen boobs and sore nipples. I feel like I'm wearing a bra made from sandpaper :eek:

According to a due date calculator I'm due 11th November, and I'm currently 3w+5 :j

Telling my boss today as I'm based in a lab and there are parts of my job I can't do now (nasty chemicals and radioactivity!). GP appointment tomorrow.

So excited! :j

Prawns are ok in pregnancy as long as they've been cooked so i wouldn't worry about the teeny amount of prawn in a few prawn crackers!!

Perhaps they are, but don't let this worry you. What the midwife thinks in terms of pure practicality has absolutely no impact on the health of your baby. I didn't see my midwife until 10 weeks; I'd already had a scan at 7 weeks. TBH, it does make sense for them to wait.
