Mishka, glad your appointment went well. I had a CVS so if you have any questions please feel free to PM me and I'll help if I can.0 -
Hi Girls
I went to the doctors last night, just to advise them. He was really nice and told me i should ring the EPD and should be able to get a 7-8 week scan.
I'm giving them a ring soon as they open, fingers crossed they let me.
Just need to buy some vitamin d, i'm already taking folic acid but didnt know about vitamin d.

Thanks, but we had a CVS last year which is why I'm pretty keen not to go through it again !
Think we have decided to have the scan and go from there, if nothing is highlighted we will decline the CVS.Bow Ties ARE cool "Just because you are offended, doesnt mean you are right" Ricky Gervais0 -
Congratulations bellola and shell girl on your scans.
Pleased the booking in appointments went well mishka and twinklie - mine is this afternoon. The midwife has changed again back to the original one I texted as the younger one is really busy today, but I'm sure the other one will be just as nice. Moon wanted her originally as her surname is almost the same as ours.
Look forward to hearing about your scan snowy - I'm sure all will be ok, and at 7-8weeks, hopefully you'll be able to see quite a bit then too.
jules I'm glad it went well at the doctor - are you still going to be at one of the hospitals where you live, or the one near me? We're only 2 weeks apart, so it would be really funny if we ended up giving birth together too. lol
No work this morning, so will probably only have the morning I had yesterday in earnings this week. I don't mind too much, as I've not had a lot of energy, and felt sick for the whole time I was teaching yesterday morning (no TA either, so don't think the school bothered with a risk assessment), and I was on playground duty in the freezing cold.
Just heard the cat get up, so he's obviously going next door (MIL's) for his mid-morning food (she's admitted to feeding him).
Suppose I'd better go and have my shower before doing what I can to make the house more respectable for when the midwife comes this afternoon.
Hugs to all who need or want them.

Morning everyone
Such great news about the scans, hope it continues for me tonight! I am feeling so scared. I feel like I am just going to burst into tears before I even get on the bed!
Today is going to very slow I think. Plus I am not that busy at work today either so it will drag.

Fingers crossed for tonight T-Sil - I'm sure you'll be fine. Try to relax if you can and enjoy it - I was so nervous with my early scan (understandably) that I didn't really take in much about what I was seeing on the screen, so I'm really looking forward to my dating scan, as hopefully I'll be able to take it in more.Enjoy the little things, for one day you may look back and realize they were the big things.I married Moon 8/4/2011, baby boy born 26/9/2012, Angel Baby Poppy born 8/11/15, Rainbow baby boy born 11/2/20170

I burst into noisy sobs when I saw my baby at my first scan. Great moment"Growth for growth's sake is the ideology of the cancer cell" - Edward Abbey.0

Hope everything goes well T-Sil. If you can possibly hold it in try not to laugh or cry too 'physically' if that makes sense- every time I giggled the scanner moved a bit and we lost sight of baby!Don't suffer alone - if you are experiencing Domestic Abuse contact the National Domestic Abuse Helplines
