  • Well I'm keeping an eye on you sexymouse, verymuch stalking you all!

Yep, def PGCE effect but it was worse at 10 weeks as I hadn't actually cried before that. I'm still knackered and know thats cus however much I want to be in bed at 9, I'm up til midnight planning stupid observations then helping hubby with his uni work. So I think the tiredness may be easing up if I wasn't doing this course but sickness is easing/you get used to it too.

How exciting you were born abroad! Do you have citizenship elsewhere then? my brother was too and it made my mums experience of her first also very different. MW meeting sounds good, we'll meet ours for our first in 3 weeks as I had to re-arrange scan cus of course so had a different one.

Whats the question you get asked the most everyone? Mine is, have you had any cravings?! And no, I haven't! Cus I'm veggie, well pescetarian as I eat fish - my meat loving husband keeps telling me its fine if you crave meat but no, I haven't. I just notice I'm a lot more relaxed with food and whenever I eat something nice I think its the best thing I have ever eaten in the world!! odd x

I've got a theory about cravings. In the old days when all we had to eat was powdered eggs and a bit of lard, we were probably missing various things from our diets. Nowadays, we're all healthy types and stuff pregnancy vitamins down our neck hence we're not lacking in anything. As a result, cravings are less comon.

That's my theory anyway. Another 'science fact' from fluffnutter :D

I have to go to the antenatal clinic at hospital to have some blood tests done tomorrow as despite trying three times neither the midwife nor student midwife could get blood from me. When I'm there they will also give me my date for booking in appointment as they didn't do that today.

She took my dates and said she was going to go by my lmp being 3rd jan rather than 28th december so that it would fit in with my dates as she said i know my body best. She did mark down that my periods are irregular though which is true. She explained my choice of hospitals, gave me a urine sample tub and a sheet to fill in for my booking appt which mentions any previous conditions as she ran out of room on her notes today to fit all my medical history in lol, she said because of my history and reluctance to bleed she's gonna mark me as a naughty one. She did my height and weight and despite being overweight because i dont drink or smoke she said i am low risk so don't need any injections. Got a check list to explain what appointments I will have and what tests etc they will do but will get baby book etc at my booking appointment. She was quite nice really. :)

oh and i was sick for the first time today, on the living room floor :( thank god its laminate lol.

Mainly food aversions for me. Although i have been craving meat so assumed that my iron must be low however the tests have come back with higher than average iron levels. hmmm

Deep breaths sweetie. Mine have come and gone so much this pregnancy and everything seems fine so far on the scans.

I think there is some truth to what I was saying the other day about the fact that I was pregnant so recently that my body is adapting to the hormones quicker than normal. It's probably the same for you.

Go to your appointment, the midwife should be able to reassure you. When's your scan booked for?

    xx
