So sorry about your news Walby.

I have my booking in appointment at 3pm on Wednesday. I'm going solo though, my bessie said there was no point getting DH to travel up from Wales for it because it's just a form filling exercise. I know he'd like to be there if he could though because he wants to be as well informed as possible.

  • Hi everyone,

So sorry to hear your sad news Walby, I hope you and your husband will take strength from each other.

According to my dates I'm 12w tomorrow, and have my scan on Weds when I'll be 12+1.

I'm terrified they're going to put me back, because without wanting to go into TMI there is no possibility at all that I have my dates wrong, so if they put me back it would at best mean baby isn't growing as it should.

Can't believe how quickly the last 7 weeks have gone! Don't feel anywhere near ready to be thinking about moving threads yet. Maybe after scan if everything is ok I'll feel a bit more like a 'proper' pregnant person.

    Take care everyone x

Shell_girl, it's still difficult to get a perfect measurement at the dating scan so I wouldn't worry if it was a few days out here or there. Plus even little beans grow at slightly different rates.

    DO NOT WORRY.

They'll be totally able to tell if your baby's growing well (or not) at the 12 week scan. There'll be a range that your baby will be expected to fit into and where he or she fits in that range will inform the date they give you.

Don't worry about it changing. I know exactly when my baby was conceived (IVF) and my dates have still been changed backwards and forwards three times! All babies grow slightly differently.

I've just realised I'm 10+1 today. Wow, times starting to move a bit faster now I'm not counting everyday. Ha ha. Now if only the morning sickness would realise and jog on.

Careful twinklie, 10 weeks is when my sickness started to become less constant but also when I would cry for NO reason!! or no reasonable reason. That's stopped now but I was thinking about it in the car home so odd you mentioned!

Walby, I'm so sorry for you and DH. there's a miscarriage support thread on here which seems so supportive but understandable if you want to step out from this. I hope your healing time is restful and re-cuperates you and your body. Hopefully DH can get some time off with you too, you said he was doing lots of overtime.

I'm still reading here, bigger thread is lovely but you seem more chatty

Congratulations on your scan maddie - look forward to hearing how people reacted when you told them.

Student_Mrs, I seem to remember the PGCE having the same effect on me crying-wise - I've never been more tired in my life as I was when I did mine. Pleased to see you dropping back in.

Off to my Mum & Dad's for dinner tonight, so taking my Bounty pack (my Mum never had these as my sister and I were born abroad) and my pregnancy book as she's been asking to see them for weeks now.

Hugs to all feeling sicky or emotional.
