I get extremely bloated after eating moneypuddle - at this stage it's likely to be wind as fluffnutter has said, or water retention. If anyone comments, just say you've got a bad case of IBS.

Technically I'm a TTC graduate, it's just I stopped posting there quite a while a go. I think I started when it was on thread 2 and stayed on there until thread 3/4 then disappeared. I did lurk a fair bit though.

I have my booking in appointment on Wednesday which will be nice to get out of the way. I hope they let me have some input into organising my scan, I'd like it to be on a Monday or Friday really so DH can come up from Wales to see. If it's midweek it makes like very difficult. We shall see though.

  • Unfortunately, I am leaving the thread. After some bleeding yesterday I went to hospital and they confirmed that it was a mc. DH and I are devastated. Fortunately, work have been very nice and said I should take as much time as I need. Hope everything goes well for you ladies x

Just had a call from the midwife - I've got my booking in appointment on Thursday afternoon at 3pm. I'm quite excited as she sounded really nice on the phone, and around the same age as me too. Moon has managed to get an hour or so off work so that he can be there to ask questions etc. It's going to be a hectic afternoon though, as I'm picking up a couple of children that I babysit for at 5.30pm, and then babysitting for them in the evening too. Then Friday morning I'm going with my Mum to see my Nana with a friend who is a matron of a care home to assess her for going into a home. Busy, busy! I must go and eat some lunch now as I feel a bit shaky - don't know if it's low blood sugar or excitement, and I'm not waiting to be sick again to find out.

Hugs to anyone else who needs or wants them.

Congratulations Taadaa and welcome to the thread - can you not ask to see a different doctor if you don't get on with your one?

Thanks for the tips kira - gone back to just feeling sick at the moment (luckily I'm not actually sick every day, so I'm lucky in that respect), and scared every time I burp in case. :( I'm scared to eat in case it makes me sick, and scared not to eat as I know that this can make you sick. I think the mistake I made on Saturday was going to sleep for a few hours in the afternoon before dinner, and I left my tummy empty too long. I was feeling sick before I ate, and when I ate I knew it was a mistake. Cleaning my teeth is what started it off.
When I left it late to eat and I was hungry and cooking I would nibble on something like half a biscuit or 1 biscuit just to hold it at bay. Seemed to work well for me.
