So I just called the doctors, at 11dpo my hcg was 24...which I think is ok?

They said there was nother number, 56 but that it couldn't be determined or something. I said they were testing for progesterone but she said it didn't say what it was. Not sure what to make of that!

Emsbet - I had no idea about Zumba! I wonder why, is it very energetic? I have never tried it...

I think it's something to do with the type of movement involved. Very twisty and centred on the abdomen

Back from hospital! It's good news! I managed to get away with an external ultrasound in the end. You could just about see a tiny flutter on the screen when she magnified it. According to the size, I am 6 weeks today, so she said they wouldn't have been able to detect anything on Friday as it would have been too early. She scanned my ovaries etc to see if she could see anything that could have caused any problems, and she said everything looks normal, so that's good too. :) Thank you all for all of your support!

So happy for you sexymouse! I bet you feel on such a high right now. What was it like seeing the heartbeat?

I am definitely going to book an early scan :)

It was quite amazing really - the heartbeat was only just detectable as a tiny white spot that sort of flickered, and that was when it was magnified. At first, she thought she was going to have to use the internal probe (her words), but then she spotted the hearbeat when she pressed harder in a certain area. I asked if I could have a picture as Moon couldn't be there, but she said they don't do them in the EPAC as some people in the waiting room will be going out with bad news, which was understandable, and to be honest, there wasn't an awful lot to see in a picture anyway. She said that they will obviously provide pictures at the 12 week and 20 week scans though.

I've got a picture from my 7 week scan. It's rubbish quite frankly - you're not missing much. Wait until the 12 week scan. Fabulous! Looks like a baby not a blob! You know it's in there, growing away. That's the main thing :)
