Just wondered, is anyone keeping a pregnancy diary? I was thinking of getting a nice diary or notebook and putting in my thoughts/symptoms, so that I can look back on them all, as I really enjoyed looking at the stuff my Mum had kept from her pregnancies with us, now that I'm pregnant.

I'm not at the moment but I have thought I might start when I get to the 2nd tri.
If I remember rightly there is a little diary for just that from Pampas that comes in the 1st Bounty pack.

I bought Miriam Stoppard's pregnancy book from the charity shop last week, got half way through it and gave up. She's such a bossy boots! Her 'eating healthily' section should be renamed 'how to diet in pregnancy', and there's no allowance for the fact that for about 2 weeks in early pregnancy you can only eat (for example) jaffa cakes and clementines. So. I wouldn't recommend her pregnancy book (although it might have been my hormones which made me so unreasonably angry at her!).

I've not read this one but the one I got last time was "What to expect when you are expecting" and I really liked it. It's not wishy washy or patronising, it mostly just gives you facts but it's good because when it lists symptoms for example, it says, "this is what you MAY experience but if you don't, don't worry that's normal too" which I liked.

I have never kept a diary but with my ds1 & ds2 (though not as much) we took weekly bump pictures. Its fascinating looking back through them seeing my bump grow and pop out ! I also had horrendous stretch marks that my oh used to call my tiger stripes and seeing them spread was fun !

It was harder to do with ds2 as we had ds1 who was a toddler but we still took pics often.

i think its a lovely idea sexymouse !

and sorry if TMI but when I burp, I feel like I'm going to be sick.
Oh gosh. For me this was my worst symptom. And I have to say :o It made me cry. :o From sheer frustration! I wished I hadn't got pregnant :o Try some charcoal capsules. I brought from holland and barratt. It helping is hit and miss but sometimes does. I never found anything that helped it every time though. Another thing to try is mint creme sweets. They are strong and the mint helps get up the wind. When I had it someone else recommended peppermint tea - might help for you. But they did say that it can make heartburn worse. And I have suffered from that from about 8 weeks+ and still do on occassion now. But the wind for me has been a killer. It did take a drop off though at around 10-11 weeks with the general sickness.
I also tried chamomille tea that again helped sometimes. I sleep on my left side sitting up as this is the most comfortable position with horrendous wind. Lots of love xx

OK, I have a new thing today. The muscles at the very bottom of my back and in my buttocks feel really tense today. They are not painful so I'm not worried it's anything wrong, but they just feel tense and I can't get them to relax. Most strange! Anyone else had this or am I just a weirdo :p

    xx
This has been worse for me since week 8! Got so bad I couldn't turn over in bed, get up, bend over, stand up etc etc turned into sciatica. Get hubby to give you a good old bum massage with some oil. And get him to rub at the edge of the cheeks near your hips. Man that relieved it well good for me!!! He enjoyed it but was disappointed it didn't lead anywhere ... :rotfl:

I started from the day I got my BFP. But I haven't really put much in it since 7 weeks. I should really write in it now actually before I forget all the 1st trim stuff now I'm in the 2nd trim!

My hubby just said I see when I gave him the stick. I never expected him to be excited but I wanted a nicer response than that! He still isn't excited now but then he didn't want a baby any way. He was on the fence with I don't know but we will because you want to. He talks about it a bit more now so thats a step in the right direction.
