I'm the opposite. I'm a bit like the undead. 12 hours sleep without a break and NOTHING will wake me. I'm normally a 7 - 8 hour sleeper and do wake for lots of reasons, apparently not at the minute though.Reduction in daily mortgage interest since October 23 (new mortgage) - £2.36 July 25

Well I had a pretty horrible experience today. I'm in need of some new bra's so thought I'd go to Mothercare World to get fitted for some maternity bra's. The woman who fitted me was useless, she obviously had no idea what she was doing (she thought an F cup was bigger than a G cup). She also told me that I was "podgy" and that I have "a pot". She justified this by saying that it was my baby making me look that way and that she could see the bump already. Stupid woman - I already told her I'm not quite 8 weeks yet. My baby is the size of a blueberry and the "podge and pot" are just fat, not a baby bump! I looked like this before I got pregnant!!! She really upset me and needless to say I left without buying anything. Fancy telling a pregnant woman, or any woman for that matter that she looks podgy! Hmph.
i would have complained about her, sounds terrible:jMarried 16/07/2010, ds1 born 11/08/12, baby due 08/05/20150 -

It was a tearjerker this week, anyway!
Good to see you all on here, tomorrow is 10 days and counting til my scan and I have 2 lesson observations, eek. Good luck with your scan Laura, I'll be looking out for your update.
Ended up telling my new boss yesterday and was again in tears as said I didn't really want to tell her and I was very scared about scan but we're friends anyway and so it was nice to get a hug and I'm glad she knows. I'm actually self-employed like her but she employs me as a freelancer and she knew loads about the moneyside of maternity as said she investigated it all before she set up business so that was useful.
Made me late back home though and hubby very worried - I've noticed recently I've been having extra take cares!
Elelyn, definitely complain if you can, otherwise that woman may be making more people upset. She may have been having a bad day but she prob would have had a slap from me as I know I've put on weight and I'm so much more irritable now I'm tired all the time.
Off to see if we do have enough finances at the mo, or if I've totally ballsed the budget up... Ick. hope we get some more bfp'ers soon to compare symptoms with!
hugs to all xx

Glad most people are feeling ok-ish. I'm ok, just SOOOOO tired. I still feel sick constantly but I think I'm just learning to deal with it now. Phew!Reduction in daily mortgage interest since October 23 (new mortgage) - £2.36 July 25

my nausea kicked in yesterday, and ive been gag gag gag ever since, nice to feel it though as other than a tubby (er) belly I was wondering if i dreamt it all !
told hubby last night,
me "my morning sickness started this afternoon"
him " you're pregnant"
me "yup"
him "oh"
Not quite sure what I was expecting but so far Ive told him, my mum and 2 friends I work with and everyone has said "oh"
Really ? thats the best they can manage ? I guess i must be traditional I always thought 'congratulations' was the normal thing to say :rotfl:
enjoy the scan ! jediquigleyBow Ties ARE cool "Just because you are offended, doesnt mean you are right" Ricky Gervais0 -
