hmm i suppose it will depend. as long as you know the baby is ok, thats all that matters right? :)

i got a bit upset with hubby earlier. was saying to hubby would like to have a daughter first and asked him what he wanted? he was a bit short and said we cant get too excited as he wants to protect us and so once we know everything is ok, then we can talk about things.. hmm :(

  • 4wardthinking - congratulations, its great that you conceived naturally :D

my booking in appt with midwife went fine - given lots of info - most of the stuff was advertising. apparently 5 midwifes work at my practice so i probably wont see the same one regularly. i have blood tests early jan and waiting for scan appt probably later in january, cant wait.

rups - cant really blame your husband for not getting excited early on, it is early days. me and my husband have lots of chats about the future baby but at the back of my mind there is a worry of loosing it or that something isnt right. we agreed not to buy any baby stuff until 12 weeks scan. i think time goes pretty quickly though, i guess you will get your scan in february, just hold tight:)

have made mince pies and gobbled two :D

National Childcare Trust. They offer Ante-natal classes that you pay for. I know in some areas they are pricey. Where I live it was around £120 for 3.

  • First off, hi to all the newbies that have joined in the last week!

I am still bleeding, no 'clots' and not in anyway as much as last week. Waiting until 29th Dec seems such a long time for the next scan to hopefully confirm baby is OK.

In-laws are now at ours and I think is actually a help. OH & I have no time to think about the situation and also barely any time on our own to talk about it.

Ref the drinking issue - can any of you offer to be the driver for the night? No drink for that person....

    Have a good week all.

hey biker chick, hope you are ok.. glad you have the familr round, so your attention is elsewhere otherwise would be stressful. am glad yoru date is around the corner too. Hope the days go by quickly for you, so your scan is done! :)

hope everyone is feeling well on here though.. still have my cold so feel a bit rubbish :(

thanks for your advise jedi..i comlpetely understand about losing the baby or something going wrong. i would def think about buying stuff after the 12 weeks. i am just excited that we are going to have a baby. still feels surreal at times but when the feeling is there, i am happy. just want to think positive thoughts though and everything will be ok. :0)
