Thanks happy days. i got worried and told hubby, and he said to be calm as maybe these things are normal and i cant get stressed about everyl ittle thing!. i feel rough though as have a sore throat and i cant even take the stuff i normally take. it feels like some one is grating my throat. ouch! :0(

Re-ordered in the EDD ( Estimated Date of Delivery) Order. From the most soonest babies due to the later babies due. I'm still near bottom lol - need more newbies to join!! I see your not on the list. Need to add yoruself :-D

Hi everyone, can I join please? We conceived on our honeymoon and I'm 5 weeks gone. I did a test last Thursday and another on Friday cos I didn't believe it could be true! Saw the doctor this morning and although she didn't test me, she gave me a pamphlet and said the midwife will call within 2 weeks. My due date is 14th August!

It all feels very unreal at the moment but really exciting. I don't really have any symptons yet. My boobs are a bit sore and I've had quite a few mildish cramps but that's it. Have told my sister and my best friend, both are really excited! We're going to tell the parents when we have them over on Boxing Day. Don't really want to tell anyone else until the 12 week period but I think people at work are guessing because, apart from having only just got married, we went out for our Xmas lunch on Tuesday and I only drank a cm of wine from the whole glass. If I'd refused wine at all it would have looked even worse but I definitely think a couple of people clocked it and of course my doctor's appointment today!

Am currently coming up with ideas to hide my not drinking in social occasions... Would be grateful for suggestions! I had my friend over on Monday and poured wine for her and I had Schloer in a wine glass. Am going round my mum's on Sunday for dinner and have laid the foundations about a water infection and antibiotics.

hi chrissy!! welcome here. i am so new too and believe it or not my due date is on the 15th of August. I only got married 2 months ago and when i told my mum, she was like 'so soon?'.. at first i got upset but now i am fine.

i am thinking of the same thing regarding drinks, and am planning to tell people i am on antibiotics. lol. is that good enough? :rotfl:

Hi ladies, can I joint too pls? Did a test sunday and got BFP so seems I am 5 weeks today! Its very confusing on the different websites though! Think EDD will be 18th August! V nervous telling anyone though as have got friends going through a difficult pregnancy and know a few people who have had complications so all a bit eeeek at the moment! I'm sure it normal to feel like this though! Congratulations to u all too! :-) xxx

i am in the same boat as you. i want to tell my nest friend but she has had two miscarriages and i dont know how to tell her. i know she willbe happy for me but sad for herself too, you know? my other friend has endometriosis and for her to have kids will also be very hard. congrats to you too. i am 5 weeks too today :0)

Rups, looks like we'll be going through a lot at the same time!

I'm going to a house party on NYE and my friend has suggested emptying a couple of bottles of wine and filling them with schloer or something and taking them for the fridge. All my OH's friends will be there and they've been on our case about getting pregnant and I really don't want to be forced into telling them early so think this is a good compromise. If anyone drinks any of my "wine" I'm hoping they'll already feel quite sloshed and won't notice it's not real wine!

haha thats funny. with me i can only take 2 glasses of wine before i get drunk so i can say i am satying sensible. i dont know. as much as i would love to tell friends, better to wait till 12 weeks. we are already 5 now, so not long hey? cant wait to see the midwife. have you been to the gp yet penguin? ohh chrissy what leaflet did you get? i got nothing. the gp couldnt wait to get rid of me! :0( i got the sore boobs and some weird cramps too esp on the right side. i always sleep onmy tummy and now i cant even do that as the boobs are quite sore and sometimes i feel 'some weird pain' so i stay to the side. grr
