Thanks Kira, that is so weird though. 5 weeks. I was shocked. Lol
Yes I will probably wait before I tell work then. unless I get the morning sickness like you said. I hope I don’t get that. hehe. Feeling a bit rough and have a sore throat so better go and make sure I have some Paracetamol as have been banned from having ibuprofen.
Hubby and I were wondering whether to tell his side now.. he did mention that for support, it would be good, for both good and bad times. so I think we will tell them soon. My mum knows as she works as an ward clerk at her local hosp, but she is a bit difficult to talk to. She did ring to say good luck though so things might be changing. J told her not to tell people yet. She already told my brother which is ok. J getting a bit excited but have to be careful too.
Really appreciate all your advise ladies J think better give hubby the time to let it sink in as I feel he is a bit overwhelmed. :0)Became Mrs H on the 1st of October 2011!!

The sharp pain sometimes scares me and its normally on the right side.. i think i might come and do all your heads in with silly questions! still feel so surreal! hope for everyone those 12 weeks pass by fast and we are all in the safe zone! positive thoughts.
its the yoga i have just done.
thats another issue for me to sort, as i go to the gym. need to find out what can do and what cant..its pretty common sense, but in terms of intensity. me and hubby do kung fu and that will def be toned down for me anyway. :0)
I get sharp stabbing pains, usually on the right. Try not to worry. I'll be 12 weeks this weekend and everything seems fine."Growth for growth's sake is the ideology of the cancer cell" - Edward Abbey.0 -
thanks fluffnutter :0) i guess it being so new, everything unusual is a worry.
i went to the pharmacy to get some folic acid and even there i started asking random questions about taking paracetamol etc.. i can chill out a bit more now.

Yes my stabbing pains are mostly on the right. And when I cough lol. It hurts. When I had the emergency scan they said baby was im planted slightly on the right hand side,. And it seems as the uterus grows it tilts to the right which is why that is where most of the pain is.
We wanted to leave telling everyone until after the scan. But I have such bad sickness and everyone will be here for christmas that we ended up telling them at 7 weeks! I will be 9 + 6 at christmas since I got redated lol.0 -
wow rebekah :0) ok that makes sense and i feel at ease knowing what yuo have told me. if you know what i mean? i get scared even sneezing or coughing. this morning i just took an extra skip on getting onto the tube, and i felt a slight pain. i was like ouch :-(
think we will tell my inlaws as they are so sweet and supportive and my mum. i want to tell my friends, but i have to wait!! i have to i have to, as much as i am dying to ring my best friend too. but poor thing has had two miscarriages in the past 2 years because her husband is abroad in Egypt so whenever she has been to see him, she falls pregnant, but loses it.Became Mrs H on the 1st of October 2011!!

i wanted to add myself to the list
i am scared of telling my boss about the pregnancy as i start a new job in jan, i accepted the job and found out i was pregnant a few weeks later ekkk! i will still get maternity pay as moving jobs within same NHS trust.
i have only told a few people, my physio, massage therapist, friend at work and husband of course. going to wait to tell everyone else till first scan, will be very exciting, thinking of doing it in a special way somehow ....still thinking about how
its strange how they date pregnancy from last period start date, took me a while to get my head around it.
have read the pregnancy books i got from the library too much hehe
anyway hope everyones day has been good, i had very minimal sickness today and felt really good. no pains for me but tender breasts everyday!

how is everyone doing?
jedi iknow what you mean? i am dying to tell my few good friends but am waiting.. we have to tell the inlaws still. eek! they are lovely though so will support as no matter what.
i have a question please? Yesterday, when i went for my first gp appointment, she said that if i get bleeding, or prolonged pain or discharge, then i should go back to the gp. last night when i went to the loo, i just had a little bit of discharge. is that normal or should i go and see her? i mean i dont want to go for something that might be looked at as petty if you know what i mean? so i wondered whether any of you had seen any discharge too? help please!!!Became Mrs H on the 1st of October 2011!!

You quite often get increased discharge when you are pregnant so i wouldnt worry. I just use panty liners all the time now.DS1 born June 2000
