Thank you everyone. I'm working on the basis no pain means I don't need to worry. But you still can't help it. Hubby thinks it's break through bleeding from when my period would usually be due

Yes I am experiencing bleeding right now. I am 7 weeks. Spoke to midwife who has phoned EPU and booked me in for an early scan at midday tomorrow. I am terrified. It's not mega heavy but it's definately much more than spotting. No pain so again we are trying to work on the no pain = not a problem.

We've had a few scans requested at short notice, via our GP. We have another one in a few hours, to verify what's going on and to see if all is ok.

As for the scan itself, the biggest problem is not the scan, it's not the result (thought that might not help much, the only way to know for sure is to get to 40 weeks!), but the biggest problem is the waiting. The fear of the unknown, the lack of control. RebekahR, you have 22 hours to wait, and I hope that for your sake, time flies. And that things prove to be all ok.

As you say, no pain = no problem. If you were having a MC, at 6/7/8 weeks, you'd expect pain. Worse than period pains, apparently. Last year, we had a MC at that point, and it wasn't pleasant. So if you're not in pain, don't give up hope.

And one last thing, RebekahR - are you still "suffering" from pregnancy symptoms? feeling sick? tired? headache? If so, then it's likely to not be a MC, but just a problem similar to what we've been experiencing.

Take it easy, and let us know how things go tomorrow...

Yea I think I still have symptoms. I had a reduction in the sickness for 2 days but it came back yesterday and the tierdness went but came back yesterday. So I still feel pregnant as it were. I think ... !We have a friend staying over who didn't know we were pregnant so he will know when he gets here as we have to abandon him for maternity! So having him should take away from it a bit and i'm working tonight so should be ok. Better than having nothing to do.

Best of luck with the scan Rebekkah. I'm catching up on the last few days news but I saw your post yesterday so I had to skip ahead to give you some virtual hugs. How many weeks are you? Apparently bleeding is quite common at the weeks you would have normally had periods as your body still releases some hormone or other.

  • Fingers crossed RebekahR's having a positive scan - and that she comes back on here soon with some news...

OMG It's real! I'm pregnant. I am absolutely terrified! Strong heartbeat present. Ovulated from the right ovary and implanted into the right side. Ovaries healthy and no reason for bleeding. She said I might just be a bleeder and bleed the whole way through. Or it might be hormonal but not to worry for now.
