If it was the post I'm thinking of, which I can't find to reread, I read it as a badly phrased attempt to say, that they really hoped that we didn't lose any more posters along the way, and that it was sad that there had to be activity over there, as it meant someone else had a loss. I'm sure I'm not the only one who feels sad to see someone from here pop up as the last poster on that thread, because I know what it usually means for them.
That wasn't the post I was getting at - like I say, I had the post half-typed a few days ago when someone complained that the people who miscarry upset them.
I incidentally duck in and out of lots of threads, including the miscarriage one - just purely because I've got the experience of a particularly messy "is it or isn't it... oh heck it's twins... oh no it's over" long drawn-out scan process!Little miracle born April 2012, 33 weeks gestation and a little toughie!0 -
Oh dear, I do apologise to whowants2brich for mistakenly pointing to his post, it was the only one I'd read lately on the subject, and I was trying to help. I do hope he'll be back. Without knowing who you are referring to, it is hard to comment, but is it possible that they did mean it in the way I put, that they feel very sad for people who don't make it through the first weeks. It doesn't necessarily mean they think they shouldn't post about it?0

List updated as I now have a scan date, just before Christmas so if all is well at that point family and very close friends will be told.
Now 9+3, still no sickness which does worry me a little - am I still pregnant? I've had no bleedy so there is no reason to worry I keep telling myself.
I have midwife appoint on Tue morning, will have have to have another session of time off work for bloods/test?Being happy doesn't mean everything is perfect, you've just decided to see beyond the imperfection.....0 -

Bobble_hat sorry to read your news. Big hugs.
I have been lurking lurking lurking here for about 8 weeks.. didn't want to actually confirm as there are people on MSE who know me in real life and also I just felt a wee bit nervy of jinxing it.
But I had a second scan yesterday and they put me at 13 +2. The last scan they said i was 3 days earlier which gave a EDD of 12 June and they've kept me at that even though officially know based on 13+2 I would be 9 June.
So, I'm graduating to the next thread.
Best of luck to everyone!0 -
Had my first scan yesterday so I can stop hiding as Kaemi and use my 'real' MSE identity. Scan went really well, baby wouldn't stop kicking, and was measuring exactly on 12 weeks. Next scan is on my birthday. DH is all teary and excited and can't stop looking at the baby picture, it all seems really real now. Best of luck to everyone in the first trimester.Debt January 1st 2018 £96,999.81Met NIM 23/06/2008

Welcome kaemi and congrats! I remember you from the TTC thread and your scan is on my due date, so we'll both be wishing away the time between now and thenTTC #3..........0

Can I ask a very quick question of you all?
Generally, how soon after conception can a test kit give a positive? I've had a negative test tonight but am 8 days late (never late) and have been experiencing mild symptoms that could be early pregnancy for about 10-14 days.
Should I wait another week and try again? The reason I'm concerned is with the silly season approaching if I am pregnant I need to lay off alcohol and certain foods and if I'm not I'd like to find out what's going on soon rather than sitting worrying until the new year."carpe that diem"0
