Thanks Aimless and Emsbet, still unsure whether to do it or not. Suppose I am getting a bit impatient as I havent even got my booking in appoinment yet I have a feeling I wont get my scan till 14 weeks. Maybe its best to wait it out and save the £99 to buy baby stuff. Its just curiosity really but I guess as I haven't had any bleeding everything is ok?

Hi All

Gosh, I really shouldnt be here anymore should I, I am 13 weeks now, but staying put until after my scan on here

I told my work when I was 11, I work in the local authority and we too are having a big restructure and jobs will be at risk. I was concerned it would go against me being pregnant but 4 people were in a different phase of the review and they all secured jobs. Plus our manager said it wouldnt go against me at all so fingers crossed.

Welcome to all you newbies, it doesnt seem that long ago that I was 4 weeks...its going quite quickly really when I think back.

Scan on Friday...yey!! Not looking forward to having bloods though

Thank you! I posted earlier but i am now officially here as i've got a due date!

I had my very first appointment today.. Just a little one to make more appointments. It wasn't my usual doctor.. And he was a bit .. Well not horrible but most definitely not friendly or reassuring! He said i'll probably need an obsteotrician (sp?) ofc that's if i'm still pregnant in three weeks time for my appointment (his words) so i should make the appointments now and not to worry if i'm not still pregnant i can always cancel them. That was after i told him i was having some abdominal pain. I so wish i hadn't gone.
I know i'm early but i expected to at least leave a bit happier and more reassured but i'm not sure how i managed to hold my tears in until i got home..

Hi all

I confirmed my TLP today on a Clearblue digi, I am 4+1 with pregnancy 4, but hopefully baby 2. I have irregular cycles so my EDD is a range lol.

Am a bit scared cos of my previous miscarriages, and hoping to persade OH to find money for an early scan. I had one with DD and saw the yolk sac and heartbeat which was very reassuring. For people wondering when to have one, I'd say 8 weeks as you should have a heartbeat by then, and once you've seen that the chances of mc go right down. If there are genetic problems, the spine usually doesn't zip up and as that happens around 6 weeks, after that time is best to have a scan.

Your GP sounds like a right !!!! :mad:, try not to take it to heart - im sure they are just so emotionally detached from all things medical they forget that this is the most important thing some of us will ever do with our lives ! (well in our hearts anyway )
