  • Hi everyone. Hope you are all well.
I have just gone to the loo and when I wiped I had some pinky discharge. I'm a bit panicky and not sure what to do. Maybe I should just wait it out and see if I get any more later. Any advice would be most welcome.

When I had my scan at six weeks they told me I didn't need to go back unless I have full flow bleeding that was soaking through a pad an hour or passing large, 50p sized clots. That said if you are concerned it's always better to get checked out. Maybe give your local EPU a ring and see what they say.

Would your period usually be due about now? Lots of people have said that you can get pinky discharge around the time it would have been due. Also it says in all my pregnancy books that it is normal to have occasional slight pinky/brownie discharge throughout pregnancy. I know its easier said than done and I would be exactly the same as you but try not to stress yourself out. Just keep an eye on it x
  • Yes I think I may well phone them buy can't until the morning as mine is only open from 8 til 11 in the morning.
Just panics you a bit doesn't it, especially after my chemical pregnancy last time.
I feel like I'm going to spend the evening on knickers watch but I'll try and chill out as much as I can.
Thanks emsbet for your reassuring words

My lower abdomen feels really sore this afternoon. It's only on the right side. It doesn't hurt to move around it only hurts when I touch it but I only have to touch it really lightly for it to hurt. It feels kind of like the area is bruised - I guess it's just the ligaments and muscles stretching.
    Anyone else had this?

8-11?! That's a bit rubbish! I know how you feel after my mc last time I have been very nervous about something going wrong. How far are you? Your similar to me aren't you? (I'm 9+2).

I would try to rest and see how it goes, if it gets worse then you can always go to A&E or even ring NHS Direct.

    Hope all is ok.

  • I'm 9 weeks tomorrow so yes we are pretty much the same emsbet.
Suppose thinking about it my period would have been due a few days ago so that could be the reason. I'll just try and keep as calm as possible and not stressed although that seems to be my past time at the moment.
As for the tender abdomen I haven't had that but I do have a few excess pounds so it would take a big press to hurt me...lol
Thanks for all your help ladies. It's nice to speak to people who have the same worries and can reassure me a little

Emsbet I think I read on the babycentre that pains on the right hand side are to do with your uterus pushing your bladder to the side and stuff stretching (I am a google addict at the mo)

Well im 10 + 4 today booking in on Monday at 11+3 and scan at 12+6
My area apparently doesnt do dating scans until 12-14 weeks and booking in appointments until 10-12
However Ive already seen the midwife at a group appointment in my area and got the 1st two bounty bags (very helpful purple nhs book in pack1)

I had spotting while on holiday at 7+2 for a couple of days - couldnt speak to midwife at the time but have spoke to her since who said its because its roughly when Id of been due a visit from AF

Time is going very slowly and not fully admitting to myself im having a baby
Love is the answer. At least for most of the questions in my heart,
Like why are we here? And where do we go?And how come it's so hard?
It's not always easy,And sometimes life can be deceiving,
I'll tell you one thing, its always better when we're together

Midwife recommended to us at the group appointment I attended if you getting aches on one side lie down on the opposite side for 30mins and the ache should go :) so if right hand side aches lie on left side for 30mins (worked for me anyway)

Thanks Phunkles. I thought that was probably it - I did have a looksie on google too (been trying to stay away from it though as I end up reading bad stuff and worry myself :o).

Anyway it seems to have stopped now so I guess it was just stretching. I think I've had it earlier on too but wasn't sure. Also I'd been naughty at work lifting things I probably shouldn't have :o

Glad your spotting stopped. There seems to be a few of us who have had something similar- must be quite common.
