I'm not sure about the blood spot either, maybe worth ringing the midwife to ask about it? You could then sneak in a comment about not having your booking appointment yet!

We went out for carvery for tea last night. It was very yum and only cost a tenner for both of us a big plate of dinner and a drink. DH miraculously enjoyed it too so I can see it becoming a more regular thing when I'm further along and too tired and fat to cook lol!!

I over slept this morning!!! My alarm never went off and I woke up at 7am......which is when I start work!!! Not great when you have a 40 minute drive to get there!! Luckily my nice boss has said I can still leave at my normal time as it means I can then get to the hospital in time to see my dad before visiting ends. Otherwise he wouldn't have a visitor till my mum and bro go to the evening session at 6.30pm. I'm so lucky to have nice bosses!!

I'm feeling a bit odd as most of my symptoms seemed to have gone! I still have sore nipples but yesterday I actually felt like a human being all day for the first time in over a week!! I even managed to do my meal plan which was a miracle as I've been struggling to know what I fancy eating for the next meal never mind the next whole week!!
  • Big hugs to Nikki, sorry for your loss :(

Emsbet thankyou for updating my scan date :)

Bargain!! Thats not a bad idea. Glad your work as going to let you go on time so you can see your Dad, how is he doing? Hopefully they will be as good when baby arrives :)

The blood spot is still there this morning but I know if I make a doctors appointment they will ask whats wrong then give me an appointment for some time in the next 2 weeks as its not urgent :(, by which time hopefully I will have my appointment with the Midwife.

He's doing okish thanks! He's having an op to put a couple of screws into the break in his hip this afternoon so we'll be able to see soon how mobile he's going to be. WHen he did the other one he had to have a hip replacement and couldn't move at all for weeks but this time he's already able to move his leg about to get comfy in bed so that's a BIG difference! We're hoping he'll be able to hobble about enough to come home with a bit of help from someone to get him up (as we all work full time) as last time he ended up going into a nursing home for a few weeks which he absolutely hated!

I hate it when the docs receptionist asks whatthe appointment is for. My old docs never did that, they just offered you the next available appointment. I hope my new docs are as good! There's no way I'm ever telling a receptionist my medical problems!!

Our surgery used to be very insistent, now if you hesitate they will say 'or is it personal?'. However, I discovered they do internet booking, and haven't rung them since! :D No hanging on the phone, no making up excuses not to see the rubbish doc, no describing symptoms, just log in, refresh till the appointment you want comes up, and book. :D Worth checking if your new one is part of the system.

Thanks Emsbet, we might give it a go then, I guess £97 isn't a lot to see something so amazing :)

While I remember, I noticed this morning that I have had a blood spot appear on one of my breasts. Is this something that is common during pregnancy or worth seeing someone about? Its not itchy and hasn't bled yet, its just come out of nowhere!?!? Its about mole size

is it just like a red pen has been drawn on? flat? if so i had loads of these last time and they turned into freckles/moles, something to do with hormones--bloody things!! still ask your midwife tho if your worried, i did!

still feelin rough today, wish i could just throw up to stop feeling sick all the time! im having to undo my button on my trousers too cos its digging in!!!!

    so sorry nicki:(

lisa-- make the most of feeling ok!! it could come back at any time!!
  • Thanks B-J-D, it is like someone as drawn a dot with a red pen! I'll leave it till I see my midwife then as it sounds like it is normal.

Aimless, your surgery sounds great! I would definately go for an online booking option if they had one, perhaps I'll email the surgery and suggest it?
  • Hi All

I'm new here, just found out over the weekend I'm pregnant (think about 5 weeks). First one so not really sure what to expect!

Congratulations Ellie  I am due around 30th April (6 weeks gone today) and this will be our first too. There is a list a page or so ago if you want to copy and paste it and add yourself? If you know when the first day of your LMP was and roughly how long your cycles are there are loads of websites that can give you an EDD, just google due date calculator.
