  • I think the reason we still have the same due date is because I only have a 26 day cycle, the first day of my LMP was 26th July (tuesday) which should make me 6 weeks tomorrow (unless I am doing it wrong!! :o)

I called them 2 weeks ago today and they said they would get back to me with a date for my booking in appointment. She did say it would be towards the end of September but I took that as meaning the appointment would be then, not that they would call me then. I'll leave it a week or so, I dont want to annoy them

Nicki, really sorry to hear your news. I hope if you do try again it works out for you. Take care xx

Ah I see! My date of LMP was 20th July with a 33 day cycle so that explains it! SOme of the online due dtae calculators take into account your cycle length. This one:

http://www.babycentre.co.uk/tools/duedate/ gives a due date of 29th for your details but I guess it can all change at the scan anyway!!
  • So tempted to pay for an early scan so we can have a look but I guess you probably wouldnt be able to see that much if we did it at 8 weeks. I'm sooooo impatient! :0) I read some statistics for the Rosie in Cambridge (where I have chosen) from 2008 and it look like people were having to wait till about 12 weeks for booking in appointment and 14 - 16 for the first scan!! If that turns out to be the case then I guess we could pay to have an earlier one privately.

Hugs nicki, really sorry to hear your news. Your erpc seems a bit soon, did they give you an option to let it happen naturally?

Yes. I wanted everything to be over as quickly as possible so opted to go straight for this rather than wait.

Ok, thanks, I opted to wait as I'll do anything to avoid medical procedures but it's your choice of course.

We had an early scan at 6+1 and although you couldn't see much - baby looks a bit like a fish at that stage, you could clearly see the little heartbeat even though ours was being a monkey and hugging my uterus wall so the midwife couldn't see him properly :)

Thanks Emsbet, we might give it a go then, I guess £97 isn't a lot to see something so amazing :)

While I remember, I noticed this morning that I have had a blood spot appear on one of my breasts. Is this something that is common during pregnancy or worth seeing someone about? Its not itchy and hasn't bled yet, its just come out of nowhere!?!? Its about mole size

No problem. I really wanted to pay for a private one but because we had one on the NHS at 6 weeks I didn't think I could persuade DH to agree :o

Not sure re: blood spot. I remember the first time round I had what looked like a scab but not on one of mine but I think it was because they were quite itchy and I scratched them a lot. :o

  • Hello all

Oh Nicki, I am so sorry. I hate to read those sorts of posts, its just so sad. I hope you are doing ok, and I am glad your hubs is sticking around to look after you and your children.

Hope everyone is doing ok. Pie, chips and gravy for tea tonight....not very healthy but its what I fancy :)

Re the blood spot - I havent had that as such but I have gone very spotty all over my chest.
