Hi girls, just dropping in to have a quick read, I love seeing al your posts, feel like I have a whole support group which is great. Definitely puts my mind at rest as so many of you say things I am thinking and feeling!!
I have had the worst day, I think it's just cos my hormones are all over the placemakes me worry about everything when Im feeling like this. Going to take myself off for a bath and a nice early night and hopefully I'll be feeling much better in the morning!
Wishing all off you the best x0 -
Hi all
Thank you soooo much for your warm welcome over here!!
I have a quick question......I see you write that you are 4 weeks or 5 weeks or 5 +3 days etc - can I just clarify are you all taking it from your LMP?? I know the docs will calculate it but i'm pretty sure that i know the day i ovulated which would make me 2 weeks 4 days.........but I'm guessing I should still count it as 4 weeks 4 days..........? Sorry for being a bit dumb.
Well no sign of sickness thankfully although i know its prob too early yet....might have that joy to come! ha ha. But I still have sore boobs and keep getting sort of AF pains/cramps although this seems to be normal. Oh and boy am I pee-ing alot!! and I mean ALOT!!!
It's so amazing to think I've got a little one growing inside me. I'm off to see the docs tomorrow........does anyone have any advice, do i need to take anything? What normally happens. I'm guessing not alot will happen and i'll get referred to the midwife/maternity place. Also do you know can you have scans done on the weekends, saturdays?? only because it will be extremely difficult for my oh to get there during the week and i wouldn't want to go without him...........
thanks

Has anyone else had terrible skin since getting pregnant?
I never ever used to get spots now I have a forehead covered in them, my line lip (eugh) and tops of my shoulders. I feel so disgusting.
The ones on my lip line are really sore and bright red. The worst is currently sat in the little groove that you have on your top lip in the middle.0 -

Not dumb at all, it's very confusing and a bit random really! You are right, if your LMP was 4 weeks 4 days ago that's how far you will be counted.
I can't get my head round this, it doesn't account for cycle lengths etc. Must have been a man who dreamed it up! But, hey, it does add two weeks to our dates...5 weeks sounds MUCH better than three :jTotal Original Debt: £30404.24

evening all. well after me saying i'm not having symptoms monday the morning sickness kicked in big time about 1 pm. oh boy i felt so queezy and yesterday i felt so sick. i really don't know how i got home from the school run. i just remember saying to kids walk fast please and keeping my mouth closed. oh it was awful. wasn't sick but felt so sick. went about half 3 and by about 8 it was back again i sat on sofa too scared to move. but today nothing.
i'm now 13+ 4 and i know i should be on the other thread but i still don't feel preg and still finding it hard to come to terms with it. even tho planned and much wanted.
having loads of friends congratulating me as were telling peeps now ( my dd has told everyone it seems lol). still getting the few odd few sour peeps but i guess u always will. but hey i'm not worried. but even tho so many know it still feels not real. bizzare. no more midwife appointment till i'm 16 weeks i think.
kids on half term next week. i can't wait i love it when they are all home. got lots planned.0 -
Oooh it's been lovely & busy on here today - same as WPB I love having a good read of all your news in the evening
Had a bit of a wobble earlier, started panicking about another m/c for no reason other than my nausea has gone - ridiculous really, as when I was pregnant with my son I didn't have one single day of nausea. What am I like, eh? Feeling more positive this evening, and looking forward to my GP appointment on Monday. I know not much will happen, but it will be good to talk over my worries with him and get the wheels in motion for the midwife, scans etc. (I wonder if he'll refer me for an early one? I hope so!!)
JCR, glad most people have been nice when you've told them your news, I know you've been worried about other people's reactions. As long as it's right for you & your hubby & kids it doesn't matter about anyone else. Hope you feel better soon xxx0 -

thankyou that means alot. i know there is always gonna be one or two who will never be happy for anyone, always negative but the postives i've had have far out weighed it.
i had a couple of mums congratulate me today and there not mums i generally see and i was shocked they knew but my dd told there dd and ds. and they were so pleased it was great. My dd is litrally beaming she is telling everyone. i did find it a bit sad for her when she went to tell one mum and the mum acted really off with her, and just not interested, but they maybe she just was preocupied. but then my dd is only 7 so couldn't careless as she is just over the moon.
been finding myself very emotional lately. today a yr 5 ( huge nipper) had a go at my son ( yr 1 and very tiny) oh he was so nasty and threatening to my son , all becuase a ball went in my sons direction and he stopped it from rolling down the hill. that i just wanted to take my son home. but spoke to teacher and all is ok.my ds is in such his own dream world that when i said to him to walk away he asked why, i said that boy has just shouted at u and been nasty . he replied ' oh him, well i wasn't listening :rotfl: love my boy so much.but bless he's been bullied so much but doesn't understand. he just wants to be everyone friend and never sees any bad.0 -
I know what you mean JCR, my lad is also very nice-natured and wouldn't hurt a fly yet some of the kids in his school are just vile. I reckon it's more upsetting for us than it is for them, but it's still annoying. Why can't people just bring their kids up to be decent human beings??
Anyway (deep breath!) Peace & love to all xx0 -
morning everyone
Unfortunately my mother in law passed away in the night OH was with her and so was the rest of the family, OH is as you can imagine devestated. He says he wish they could have made up before she died it just shows life is to short.
