Thanks Sequeena and Portsmouthali. I'll see if I can pick some up tomorrow.
Welshpolarbear - Thanks! I'm still terrified that something will go wrong but I suppose that's normal so early on!
Is it normal to be getting bad AF type cramps? I've had them for over a week now.0 -
Morning ladies
Welcome to cara and waitingforpost - congrats on your BFP!! :j It's all a bit too exciting to start with isn't it!! Just make sure you keep taking your folic acid, that's the main thing.
Re: constipation; I suffered with this when I was taking pregnacare which I read was due to the extra iron. When I moved to just folic acid, things got moving a bit. I did have a recommendation from the pregnancy board to take lactulose (a medicine over the counter) but the label said it should be used with caution under 12 weeks - no risks being taken here. Try to eat more fruit and drink more. And try dried apricots (they are so moreish!)
Bambywamby - somehow, I managed to miss your very exciting news - I am so sorry!! CONGRATULATIONS!!! :j:j
9+5 today. Starting to perk up a bit, feeling less tired etc. I still suffer really badly in the afternoon with bloating - work must think I scoff my face at lunchtime!! I'm starting to feel more nervous too; coming up to the time when I started getting backache and bleeding last time - bound to be an anxious time for me. Just need to get through the next 2 weeks - come on body - you can do it!
xDx
P.S. Definitely got the baby brain: had planned to cook a curry tonight, bought all the ingredients etc - except the RICE!!! He he! DH will have to make do with just a naan bread..... :rotfl:Fear is temporary, regret is forever.....:happyhear Baby girl born 27th September - 10 days late!! :happyhear0 -
Hi all  < "Pints of Ribena"
Hope you're all in fine fettle.
I purchased one of these last night >> http://www.amazon.co.uk/GENDERmaker-gender-predictor-Gender-Prediction/dp/B003ZTX7ZI
I got it from Ebay...it was a bit cheaper (£14 incl P&P)...but they got such good reviews on Amazon, I thought I had to get one. I know they aren't 100% reliable...but it will keep me amused until my gender scan. :rotfl:
My MS is a lot better and has been for the last couple of days. I have been slightly spotting again tho, but nothing to worry about and I shall keep a close eye on it.
Thank you all for the congrats people. x x
Talking of my "shotgun" wedding. My mum married my stepdad (in 1976) when she was heavily pregnant with my little brother. She looks absolutely stunning in the pictures, with a gorgeous navy and cream smock dress that fitted under her boobs and flowed out over her bump. I can't wait to look all fat on my wedding piccies, it will be a permanent reminder of little bubs. x
I think we are planning to have an informalish registry office wedding followed by a party for family and friends. Cheap, cheerful and hopefully basking in sunshine.
Have a great day girls...happy & healthy.

morning ladies
just thought i'd check in!
welcome all the newbies and congrats to bambywamby!! :j
9+6 for me today, it seems to be really dragging3 weeks til my scan, nervous but excited all rolled into one.
ms still going strong herethink i'm in for a bad one today, but hoping i manage to keep down the bacon i just had
talking of bacon, pork products seem to be my craving of choice at the mo. bacon sarnies, gamon steaks, ham with vinegar on  and pork piesmmmmmmmm nom nom. oh and cheddar biscuits.
tis a lovely day here, hoping i feel well enough at some point to take the dog for a walk. poor thing, she's really suffering with me being so rough, i'm her main dogs body and normally do most of the walking, all the feeding, main cuddle giver and play person so my husband can get on with work, but the last few weeks i just haven't been able to and hubby has had to try and squeeze all that in, as well as all his work, cooking dinner and washing up. think i'm going to owe them both big time when i'm feeling better :rotfl:0 -
Little Angel - 3 weeks until your scan? You'll be almost 13 weeks! I'd go mad waiting that long....... Aaaargghhh!! :rotfl:
Pork pies............ nom nom nom nom:D
xDxFear is temporary, regret is forever.....:happyhear Baby girl born 27th September - 10 days late!! :happyhear0 -
yeah i'll be 12+5 by then. don't know why it's so late as i first saw midwife at 6 weeks .... i'm literally counting down the days.
pork pies are good but very bad all in one, but if they stay down and the baby asks, what can i do?! :rotfl: pancakes with sugar and lemon are a good one when feeling rank, so i'll be having some of those in a biti fear i'm going to get fat as i can only eat carp at the mo
oh, and bacon is not good second time around0 -
It really does drag doesn't it.
My scan is when I am exactly 12 weeks, and so is 2 weeks Friday but it seems like a lifetime away.
I just don't know what to do to pass the time quicker.
I snapped up a bargain in New look just now - was browsing the sale rail and got a maternity pretty blue top for £4!! It doesn't really look like maternity and so I may start wearing it now for comfort.
My belly gets so swollen in the afternoon (trapped wind as I don't like to pass it at work!!) and all I want to do is go home and do a huge fart!!!!

Has anyone else had terrible skin since getting pregnant?
I never ever used to get spots now I have a forehead covered in them, my line lip (eugh) and tops of my shoulders. I feel so disgusting.
The ones on my lip line are really sore and bright red. The worst is currently sat in the little groove that you have on your top lip in the middle.0
