    Hi all

Been lurking but not posting while I sit out this loooong wait for a scan!

Congrats to newbies/graduates - hope all are well.

All ok here, no real sickness still, just a bit tired, occasionally nauseous or faint but nothing too extreme. Seen the MW today - was supposed to be a booking in app but clinic mucked it up and didnt give her enough time to do it, so all we did was some bloods and book another app - shes coming to my home now next tues which is good. Now at 7+3 and no bump as yet, just feeling tubby - not surprising as I've suddenly got the appetite of a horse! (didnt have this at all with DD - in fact lost weight in first trimester)

Re stretchmark cream, I'm not using any as yet but used mamamio tummy butter during my last preg (expensive but received as gifts) and it was gorgeous so might ask DP to get me it again this time. Re lists, DD has just turned 11 months and is in cloth nappies which we will use for this bump and I will BF again hopefully so all we need is lansinoh (GODSEND), doubles kit for our stroller and potentially boys clothes - an easy shop this time then! Re names - we have a girls name, but boys names are trickier - pigpen - you have enough childrens names to go around so we could all just share out yours!

Might be having an early scan next week as had some very light bleeding at the start for a couple of weeks and MW thinks it would be a good idea to check all is ok - fingers crossed on that but shes not got back to me yet. Its all so worrying in these first 12 weeks - at the start I thought I wont get attached, we're already blessed with our baby girl and if its not meant to be, its not meant to be. But now a few weeks in I'm well and truly attached and so scared of things going wrong! Just looking forward to getting 12 weeks over and done with so I can look forward to worrying about the 20 week scan - lol!

Amanda - if I felt that bad, I would send partner and kids on there own with a really nice written message apologising to the couple of my absense but explaining that you have a bad kidney infection and the doc has ordered no travel. Is that a possibility?

Hi Icey, welcome to the thread!

I would maybe ring the surgery to find out what their process is. I saw my GP at around 6ish weeks I think, he referred me on to the community midwife and I had my booking appointment at 8 weeks. I'm now 10 weeks and have got my scan a week on Friday.

Did you ever sort out the issues with your dog?

Until this week, brushing my teeth was guaranteed to make me wretch and puke. I found it worked best to eat a few crackers and have a glass of drink before brushing, otherwise i would wretch up pure bile. Not nice at all. You have my sympathy!

Careful what you wish for Keza :rotfl:

    Welcome Icey
I rang the gp and asked for the gp to call me back. She then gave me to telephone number for the MW for me to arrange my booking in appointment. It does work differently place to place so most people just book appt with gp and go from there. :)

Wanted some advice really me and OH and my two boys are meant to be travelling to London this Thursday for a family wedding OH's uncle is getting married problem is this - I am far from blooming I am ill am meant to be recovering from a kidney infection but I don't feel better unsurprising really considering I've vomited maybe over half of my antibiotics back up have been given antisickness drugs but they don't work so I suspect that the kidney infection will make a reappearance pretty soon.

The morning sickness is really all day sickness and from where we live were looking at a 6hr drive to London including scheduled stops but what about when I need to be sick on the A1/M1 !! I know the obvious answer is don't go but I feel so guilty OH is asking me to make the decision and I feel really uncomfortable with that I feel like it's all my fault ! Also some of his family don't even know we're expecting the only people that do know are his mum dad and two nan's but extended family aren't aware.

I think his uncle will be cross if we don't go it will have cost them a lot of money for us to be there the 4 of us in total and we did have every intention of going I've bought a new dress and everything but I really don't feel comfortable in going that far away from home I know there are hospitals and stuff down there but that is the last thing I need to be stuck in one of them away from everyone I know.

Sorry to twist on but what would you all do ? Go or not ?

    xx

.... agree with Baby Bump and others best to stay home and relax. I am sure your oh and kids would go for you and if they know you have a kidney infection then rellies will understand.

    Hello Lucy,

I found that the toothpaste I was using was def making it worse but the toothpaste is the best for my teeth (colgate Total) but was so strong and yuck in evening (when I feel worse) so swapped to something with less strong flavour & texture so currently using aquafresh (I know just ignore the stripes :rotfl:) and colgate in morning. Still worrying that might teeth will suffer but needs must!!!

Get your own names.. :p.. it isn't like there aren't enough about .. it is actually one of my hates when people 'copy' or blatantly steal other peoples names.. total lack of imagination... but if you want a Darius.. or a Roderick.. feel free.. :p

I'd do the same Amanda.. send OH and children and have some you time!!!
