Not sure if its an upside or not, but my nausea doesnt go away after being sick, so just the nausea would be a relief for me!! Better one than both i reckon!

Hi Icey,

Welcome to the thread congrats on your BFP !! I also graduated from there after getting the same result as you on the digi

It really depends on your docs some insist on doing their own test to confirm and others will just take your word for it mine was the first type and wanted to do their own test, be aware thatr the clear blue is a super sensitive test and despite me giving my sample the next day FMU the result came back inconclusive as they said it was too early for their tests and I waited almost a week for them to tell me that GRRRRRRR

I then went into the surgery and the practice nurse dipped it on the premises and they confirmed the BFP so I would say if they want a test wait a few days before giving your sample just to avoid the same scenario as me

If you got 1-2 his afternoon I bet you'd get 2-3 with first morning.. so a week further..

Personally i go to docs about 6-7 weeks.. though you don't go at all here now you get the mw number from reception ring them and the send out booking appt for about 10 weeks.

Darkphaery, Icey, welcome to the thread. Its such a lovely thread i cant bring myself to leave, despite having graduated technically to >12 weeks. I'm waiting till y'all get sick of me and kick me off!

Icey, my recommendations, If you dont know already which hospital you want to deliver at, have a dig around some research, as they will ask you where you want to be referred to, and its best to be informed first. You should find a link to birthchoices in a previous posting which helps with options and stats.
Once you have had a think, ring the GP surgery, it seems to vary, some places are happy to get you into to the GP, who then refers you to the local midwife, some refer you to the hospital antenatal first off, and some dont want you into the doc at all, and send you straight to the local midwife. Just dont worry about them laughing, everywhere is different so its hard to know the process.

Know what you mean about ballooning boobs have DD's and feel like might have to be going up a size! The only strange thing is the other night they felt so hard anyone checking (hubby obviously ) might have thought they were you know 'not real' :rotfl::rotfl:

Urgh feeling so tired today. It seems the moment I sit down,im nodding off. Have no engery to do anything either.

Been to see Midwife this morning, did not see the one who will be looking after me as she was ill but the lady who covered for her was lovely.
Did the usual thing of saying concerned about weight etc she said ohh we have people much bigger than you etc people are these days dont worry, then she weighed me and got a shock (same reaction as GP) starting to think I hide it well :eek: (ie its well spread over boobs, thighs & obviously xl jennifer lopez bum :rotfl:)
I know I have already been referred to consultant by gp due to weight which is fine as I expected that.

I keep meaning to add myself to the list but so terrified of my scan date that rather not at mo because of previous mc (did not know preg, mc was at 10 weeks ish and this preg will be 10 weeks tomorrow however technically 11 if did not take week off for length of cycle this is the reassurance am hanging on to as mc was 10 weeks ish with no week taken off if that makes sense) have convinced myself that there is 'nothing there' so will just keep fingers crossed but wish it were done and over with so to speak so I knew one way or other. I know there are a few of you who are still waiting for MW and scan appointments so do feel for you too I know am lucky to have an appointment.

Hi everyone,

Congrats to those who have scan dates we're still waiting for ours

Sickness has kicked back in this afternoon and have burnt my throat too so feeling a little bit miserable for a change :rotfl:

Wanted some advice really me and OH and my two boys are meant to be travelling to London this Thursday for a family wedding OH's uncle is getting married problem is this - I am far from blooming I am ill am meant to be recovering from a kidney infection but I don't feel better unsurprising really considering I've vomited maybe over half of my antibiotics back up have been given antisickness drugs but they don't work so I suspect that the kidney infection will make a reappearance pretty soon.

The morning sickness is really all day sickness and from where we live were looking at a 6hr drive to London including scheduled stops but what about when I need to be sick on the A1/M1 !! I know the obvious answer is don't go but I feel so guilty OH is asking me to make the decision and I feel really uncomfortable with that I feel like it's all my fault ! Also some of his family don't even know we're expecting the only people that do know are his mum dad and two nan's but extended family aren't aware.

I think his uncle will be cross if we don't go it will have cost them a lot of money for us to be there the 4 of us in total and we did have every intention of going I've bought a new dress and everything but I really don't feel comfortable in going that far away from home I know there are hospitals and stuff down there but that is the last thing I need to be stuck in one of them away from everyone I know.

Sorry to twist on but what would you all do ? Go or not ?

@Amanda,if I was you,I'd put yourself first. Maybe let your oh and children go,and you really need to rest up at home. I'm sure everyone would understand:)
